Like it a lot. I must say I like quite a few of them. Macklins take is probably my favourite but like boxing life stories as well.
Other way around for me. Bunce had his tongue right up Josha's ring piece in that morning after the Ruiz 2 fight interview they did while Costello was trying to ask the real questions and going the right way about it. He likes the sound of his voice far too much. Watch the video below and see for yourself. (timestamped) This content is protected I have posted this before and will post again, my favourite Bunce moment, thing is he is so arrogant he's not even man enough to admit or realise what he did wrong. He stepped to Hopkins and Hopkins went roadman on him. Warm socks lmfao. Bunce dropping a major log: This content is protected
Can’t stand mainstream journalists in general. As soon as I hear a boxing journalist, ala Bunce & Costello, say that boxing isn’t corrupt but just incompetent, then I switch off.
I personally like the show and both presenters. Helps to keep me in touch with the latest news and provides a build up to the big fights. I also listen to Frampton's podcast but not sure like it that much.
Costello is the best boxing commentator bar none IMO. Bunce I can take or leave; sometimes he is ok because his friendship with Costello works, but he likes the sound of his own voice too much. Sky should break the bank and get Costello on comms.
I listen to these two every week. Great combination. I also listen to Teddy Atlas, Fight Disciples and the Boxing Asylum has really improved loads.
Probably look forward to this podcast the most now. Costellos brilliants and I like buncey, Costello keeps him reined in
I gave up on the Boxing Asylum for a while now. Too much hate on there and they came across as proper tits in those IFL interviews.
Just had a listen to the first post Costello podcast. Thumbs up from me. Steve Bunce led it, showing that when he's not playing the carnival barker role he's more than capable of leading a sensible discussion. George Groves was excellent in the role of boxing expert. Dillian Whyte appears to have dropped his grudge over appearing on there, decent interview with him. Dan Rafael also featured and he was good value for a US insight. Worth checking out and good news for UK fans if this podcast survives and thrives after the departure of Mike Costello, although hopefully he'll be back on from time to time if the new role allows for that.
