Real shame the fight could continue. Do we think MK will retire? He had started brightly and I think Eubank was really struggling to get anything going. At least two night left hands landed for MK. Nothing to tell from the fight but this would have easily been Eubanks best win - if he could have pulled it off. Despite him being in some big fights - he's lost against the best he's been in with. Time to step it up again after the new year and shoot big.
Dont understand why Eubank gets flak all the time- yes he lost to Groves and Saunders but it wasnt like he got blown out in a round by either. And he had his moments vs Saunders. He never stopped trying to win. Shows up to fights in shape and ready. And hes never quit. Why all the hate?
It took me a while to take to him. Found him to be deluded and hyped and felt that people were mad to back him to win vs Groves. That said, I really enjoy watching him now. If he’s matched right (front foot opponent or static feet), he really is one of the most entertaining fighters in the UK to watch.
He’s an absolute gobshite, arrogant, flash *****. He’s lost to the only good fighters he’s fought yet he and people go on about the wrecking machine. That’s plenty for me. His arl fella is a helmet who fears for his son’s opponents safety so it’s natural to judge his offspring more harshly.
When his Dad is present in interviews you can see Junior wincing - it's hilarious. I like Chris but he is absurd and Junior comes across as having a (fair) bit more self awareness. On the weight front though, there may be some issues. Seems he could not put weight onto his frame after weigh in for the Super M against Degale, but he looked drained and borderline skinny back to middle against Korobov. There was another member in another thread who stated he was an "In Betweener" and I can't find the post or member, but maybe there is something in it.
Should never have left Middleweight, wouldn't be in the pickle you've described nw if he'd have just stayed at that weight and conditioned himself more. Jnr has always impressed me with how he makes weight but going up and then down was a bad move.
I’m not convinced that his career is the shambles most seem to think it is. Will he be a legitimate world champion? Unlikely, and it’s possible that he always knew this would be the case. Has he pursued the career path that would make him the most money and taken next to no damage while doing so? I’m pretty sure the answer is yes. It’s also worth remembering that he only lost a split decision to BJS after just three years as a pro and minimal amateur experience because he inexplicably chose to not start fighting until the second half of the fight.
