I got Loma on points but I don't think anyone can makentoo sure of a prediction in this fight. Loma is clearly the better boxer and better fighter p4p, but size matters on boxing and Loma is fighting 1-2 weight classes above his natural one, and going up against a massive LW in an era where LW's are massive. Lopez is also skilled and has excellent athleticism and measurable, and he's a murderous puncher at LW.

If they fought 10 times id confidently pick Loma to win the majority, but this is 1 fight and his opponent is a .50 caliber compared to Loma's 5.56.

If Loma-Lopez is at MSG, I'm gonna go. Neither are massive draws, so good seats won't be ridiculously expensive.

Supposed to be Haney. But I've heard things about him being possibly stripped or downgraded to 'champion in recess' and new champion will be decided between Campbell and Fortuna.

Been thinking this same thing since last night. Hope we're right.

I think we're getting something similar to Loma v. Walters (and underrated beauty of a win). I'll take Loma by 9th round TKO via "No Mas"

Gonna be honest. I can see Lomachenko breaking Lopez down physically and mentally throughout with his footwork, constant pressure and accurate punching. Lopez has the 1 punch power tho so that makes him dangerous but unless Loma has regressed I expect him to take Lopez out in 10

Add Calzaghe vs Lacy as well.
Power can only take you so far when dealing with a true master boxer.

Solid addition there. An absolute classic in skill vs power

Yea, but he's not physically imposing at all. He's really pushing it here at 135. He's undersized for the weight class (narrow clavicles) and doesn't carry power.

You look at guys who have moved up 3,4 ,5, etc. weight classes successfully they have either had great power or had wide shoulders and powerful build.

How many skinny little bird chested guys like Loma do you know with no power who have managed to dominate bigger men? I don't know many.

I think that if Loma is cautious and doesn't engage Lopez early then he should win a decision or late stoppage. Lopez is especially dangerous early due to his explosive power and fast twitch muscle.
