No, b3cause whoever wins, their resume wont match AJ who has beaten more boxrec and Ring magazine top 10 opponents than Wilder and Fury combined.

The winner would have the best single win.. but would they have the best overall resume?

    No.

IMO, if Fury and Wilder had been fighting the calibre of opponents that Joshua has - it's possible that they'd have each taken an L by now. Well, maybe not Fury... but Wilder would have for sure.

    Wlad, Povetkin and Parker:
Three former beltholders (of wich one an ATG), two former Olympic gold medlists (and a couple world champion medals), one current world champion.

    Wlad, Wilder and Chisora:
Two current world champions (of wich one an ATG), one former Olympic gold, and a contender.

Or if Wilder wins he'll have Fury, Ortiz and Stiverne as his top 3 wins.
Two former belt holders (with something like ZERO defences between them, one contender.

No, AJ still has the best. You could also add Ruiz, a former multiple world champion, to that list. He'd easily break into the top three best wins of both Wilder and Fury.

That makes zero sense. You are basing your argument who the best is because Fury beat Wlad but ignoring the fact AJ also beat Wlad. And then Wilder beating so old man Ortiz? Therefore who ever wins is the best ? Wow! The logic on this forum is bizarre.

Even with the loss, Joshua's resume is better than Wilder or Fury's. And I don't even like Joshua.

Fury could argue his two biggest wins are better than any of AJs biggest wins. So possibly yes, his resume could be argued to be better. However it would still lack depth and could be attacked on that point. AJs resume would still have far more depth to it.

However Wilders resume would have a long way to go

No, the winner of Fury vs. Wilder has the claim of being the WBC belt holder. Nothing more, nothing less.

Joshua has a very good resume, but It’s overstated. If Fury wins the rematch, not only will he be the man to dethrone the long, aging champion and to end his 22 fights winning streak, he’ll also be the one to snatch Wilder’s title and put an end to his title reign of 10 defences.

That, in my view, trumps Joshua’s resume of a win over 41 year old Wlad who hadn’t won a fight in 2 years, coming off of a loss to Fury and a year and a half lay off, past it Povetkin, prospect Whyte, competitive decision win over Parker and going 1-1 with Ruiz.

    This.
Wilder is beating up the same old guy once a year and Fury is now being outboxed by Swedish pizza delivery boys.

I think if Fury wins it clearly overtakes Joshua. Wlad unified champion during his reign, Wilder Undefeated champion during his reign and a decent contender in Chisora. Joshua's best wins are Wlad coming off a loss and nearly 2 years inactivity, a past prime Povetkin (Both these guys are 39+ at the time) and a somewhat untested undefeated champion Parker. Good wins but nowhere near as good as Fury's resume if he wins.

If Wilder wins then he has the one of the best wins you can get in the division. Won't have a deeper resume than Joshua but will have the best win and probably be ranked #1 in the division. But yes AJ will have a better overall resume if Wilder is to win.

I can't put Ruiz in there, He is basically what Ortiz is to Wilder except he won his fight. If Ruiz never beat Joshua then his resume wouldn't even be better than Ortiz's.

Best resume atm it has to be AJ even with a loss.
Fury since back must step up more on who he fights,Wallin did give Fury a hard fight.
Wilder best fighter on resume is Fury by a long shot.

    Except he won the fight.

And if Parker is untested, then so must Wilder be? His top achivement is a draw?

But yes, Fury has the top name on his resume, but it lacks depth. Chisora is a good name to have on your resume, but if he is top three, you resume is weak. He doesn't hold a single top 10 win on his resume (depending on how to count Takam).

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury are the two best heavyweights in boxing.

They are both in their primes.

    They are both undefeated.

The winner will be the #1 heavyweight.

    The REAL champion.

    That's how it's always been.

    Today is no different.

If Joshua wants to be #1, he has to beat the winner of Wilder-Fury.

(Honestly, if Joshua wants to be #2, he has to beat the loser of Wilder-Fury. Because the loser of Wilder-Fury won't have a loss as bad as Joshua quitting against late sub Andy Ruiz, either.)

And I hope they all do fight. Feels like we're a year behind schedule, thanks to Fury pulling out of the Wilder rematch in 2019 and Joshua quitting against Ruiz this year.

Hopefully, the division will get back on track in 2020.

Fury would have a legit claim his resume is the best but Wilder would still be way off, especially with the gift draw in the 1st fight, he should really have a loss on his already weak resume.

Fury would probably have the better 2 wins, but Joshua’s resume would be deeper even with a loss on it.
