My inclination is that Mancini is simply too big and strong. Helluva fight tho, can see it being very competitive to begin with before Ray's physicality starts wearing Boza down.
In 1984 this would have been a very competitive fight. It also could have happened in 1982. Boza showed he could carry the weight well in a decision over Roberto Elizondo. Mancini had all he could handle from Kim and Orlando Romero, and Boza was better than those two. Mancini was stronger and had equal stamina. He may have hit a bit harder than Boza. Boza, while no devensive genius, was better defensively than Mancini. He also had faster hands. Both had good chins. Boza had a significant height advantage, but it's doubtful he'd use it effectively. I see a competitive war with Mancini winning a close decision due to his strength advantage and punch output.
Only way to beat Mancini when champ was ko as he was badly beaten by Bramble and somehow ahead on the scorecards. Boza never received fav from the judges ( Chacon 83 fight show have got dec ) . In a high volume punchfest Boza does enough to win but judges give dec to Boom Boom.
Excellent. Mancini's size may or may not wear him down late. Mancini would sure know he'd been in a fight. I really like Boza.
Bosa to much speed look at guts boom boom beat before Bramble,Livingston scrambled his brains listen to him talk now
