How is this even a question?

Biggest pulling power for PPV numbers - Joshua
Biggest seller to the general public / International audience - Joshua
Biggest pay packet between the two - Joshua
The fighter with the promo company to stack the undercards - Joshua
Subjective - The better fighter of the two - Joshua
The better resume between the two - Joshua
Who has the belts - Joshua

What exactly does Wilder bring to the table?

I understand that people love Wilders one punch power, but outside of that, what merits him the 'A-Side'?

Regardless of who,d win the fight....joshuas the clear a side. Olympic star....massive profile. 3 belts. Win over klitchko. Been marketed unbelievably well from the start. Generates massive money pretty much every fight. On the other hand wilder spent 40 fights fighting bums. Marketed poorly. Cant sell tickets. Low purses in comparison. Annoying personality.

Wilder should be happy with 80/20 in joshuas favour. Barring ruiz i m not sure anyone else would even get that. Think it,ll end up 60/40. He should be willing to accept if he got anything over 20 percent tho. Otherwise whats the point of investing money into building a profile of a fighter as a promoter.

20 percent of a fight like that would still be a lot of coin. Never understood how boxers dont take the risk on it....take the twenty percent....if you win your talking a lot more next time round. He,d stand to have all the belts. Be the main man in the division. Supercharge his profile and hold the cards in a rematch. They should try for 40 percent obviously. But i,d accept it as low as 20 percent if i was wilder.

I bet mayweather wouldnt have given out 20 percent very often. If he did i bet the opponent brought a lot more than wilder to the table.

If Wilder beats AJ in devastating fashion, does that change his legacy, PPV numbers, future paycheques marketability drastically?

How is this even a discussion?

AJ brings in more money, AJ has more belts, and AJ has the better resume.

I genuinely dont see any angle in which Wilder is A side.

Curious, how well has Wilders opponents been paid compared to AJ's? Let's say since AJ Vs. Charles Martin?

Best way to do this, if both sides are serious, 40-40. If the fight is in the US then Joshua gets an additional 5% or if in the UK the 5% goes to Wilder. Then winner gets the remaining 15%. I am starting to appreciate Don King, boxing history in this era is being cheated. We may never know who the post-Klitschko heavyweight ruler is. Either way I think neither of the three are in the top 20 ATG's.

No corrections needed. We're seeing this from 2 different perspectives that's all.
Technically I acknowledge your point. Floyd was A, Hatton was B...I was looking at who packed the house.
Pre fight- who showed up at conferences? Hatton fans, correct? Who travels to see their fighter? Floyd or the B side?
    In Vegas the house was Singing a Hatton-winter wonderland as he got plastered! Only one....Ricky Hatton...only one..aaaawwwww! :eusa_doh::crybaby2: {Hatton is Down!! lol!}

As for The Golden boy- The only way Floyd took it was he had to be offered the fight. Before then he had 11 years where he on his own never made an A side. Never made tens of millions.
Against Oscar he had the world stage to show what he could do. Without Oscar- how can we assume Floyd would eventually become Money Mayweather? He was the Pretty Boy Pre-Oscar. Money Team Post Oscar.

The A side Floyd was never one to pack houses with a no-namer. He has to have a strong B side with a fan base example
    Mayweather vs Baldomir : 325,000 pay-per-view buys

Oscar de la Hoya vs Yory Boy Campas 350,000 buys. Oscar did more fighting a guy who wasn't a champ, wasn't ranked top 10-- past his best years, while Floyd fought a champ- the guy who beat Judah. My point is-whenever an A side is an American fighter, they tend to do worse or less sales than a B side fighter from England, Wales, Ukraine..we'd have to go back to who? Tyson or Holyfield as Americans who could sell with or without a strong Bside.
Here is our forum giving the numbers
    https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/ppv-numbers-by-fight.208843/
To relate this to the topic. Wilder has a hard shot at ever being an A side. America's greatest boxers in the past 20 or so years have failed to secure a strong fan base outside their home state (wilder-Alabama) (Ward Cali). Gone are the days of a Ray Leonard or De LaHoya, Mike Tyson-who had a global fan base, not regional or state. I'd rather be a B side with a huge fanbase across the world than to be an A side who cant sell outside of one's adopted state of Vegas. But that's just me.:cool1:

    My guess would be

The fighter with 3 titles to 1
The fighter who has won unifications
The fighter who is more popular
The fighter who has beaten more top 10 HWs

Yep. As simple and easy as that - AJ is the bigger draw.

All logic points to Joshua but the fight is never going to get made unless they pay him off properly. I don't see Joshua travelling to America and I don't see Wilder coming to the UK unless it's 50/50 or more in his favour so if they want the fight they need to pay proper money. It's whether it's worth the investment in becoming undisputed and the future earning potential of Joshua after that if he wins. If they think they can win the fight they should pay him because he will triple that money in subsequent endorsements and title defences. All risk management and there are much smarter people than us working this all out for Hearnz and Haymon.
