Hopefully TFerg scuttles those plans and he beats Khabib at UFC249

    Cerrone-Conor is a 50-50 fight imo.
    Khabib owns and stops Conor.
    Masvidal owns and stops Conor.

Not really interested in any of these fights myself but I'm not a casual fan. The fight I wanted was Conor-Gaethje to see if he is a legit elite lightweight and earn a rematch/title shot. The UFC is not run as a sport but a circus sideshow so this didn't happen.

From Khabib's latest comments he wants to see Conor win fights against winners before he gets another look, not sure what pull Khabib will have over the circus side of UFC and the dick sucking of Mctapper...Khabib doesn't care about money, he prefers to give it away. If Khabib wins against Tferg he want's to see Conor go through Justin and or Tony...That will not happen, from Khabibs point thy will have to strip him and make a vacant belt for Conor v some scrub.

Especially at 170 which is McGregors weakest weight. Too slow and bulky. At 155 Cerrone has little to no chance but at the current weight it's interesting.

I just know that Cerrone will fight dumb and just "throw down" with Conor on the feet so I'm not confident at all that Cerrone will win the fight. Who the hell knows how Conor will look after doing zero for 3 yrs now and living a degenerate lifestyle and being 3 yrs older himself. Flip a coin imo.

Cerrone has the tools to win if he wants to. He has always been top level on the ground when his fights go there and his gastank is excellent. He should just start out very conservative and look to take it to the ground at every possible opportunity that presents itself during the fight. Don't just blindly throw down with Conor, be happy to be conservative with your output even if it means giving away the first 2 rds. Conor has no power deep into a fight. I bet Cerrone will fight like a dummy though and after the fight he will be chewing tabacco and drinking a beer with his cowboy hat on like an idiot with his participation trophy and a loss.

Like you, I'm not that confident in Cerrone. Has the skills to win easily but seems to have an issue when it comes to stepping up to the big fights.

If Cowboy wins, then McGregor is in a very difficult place.
The rematch, that nobody wants to see since it's not like the first fight was close, will surely be off the table?

McGregor should have to beat a couple top level guys before leap frogging everyone for a title shot.

Yep but the ufc is a circus these days and they play favorites. Dana would always trash boxing but isn't what the UFC does these days the same as boxing ? Multiple titles in a weight class, undeserved title shots, some fighters getting title shots off losses WTF, made up joke circus belts, it goes on and on.

And with this Floyd Mayweather/UFC joint venture in 2020 it will obviously be a con job on the fans and ANOTHER circus fight to pander to the clueless casuals.

Yeah if Conor loses to Cerrone these days then he is completely done as a fighter. I think part of the reason their fight is at 170 is because it's a built in "excuse" for Conor if he loses. "Oh I'm too small for 170 I won't fight here again. My true fighting class is 155 where I'm not sluggish etc etc" you get the idea. The only thing he can do next would be the Nate Diva Diaz third fight which I don't think any proper fan cares about. I certainly don't.

That's a good point. If he loses then he was "Inefficient with his energy", "came up weight and it didn't work out."
Has the potential to be a cherry pick gone wrong.
I'd watch the trilogy fight with Diaz but wouldn't really care about it that much. Both are so inactive now and both very beatable.

Basically the same pathetic excuse Conor made when a late notice Nate Diva Diaz took his best shot then beat him up and choked him out. No doubt Conor's clueless fans will fall for the same excuse again.

    Easy fight for McGregor
    That’s why he’s fighting him.
