Can anyone imagine how badly and brutally Golota would have destroyed Audley?

Lol, so laws of nature do not apply to Wladimir Klitschko, but they do apply to other fighters?
It matters that Golota was 40, but it doesn't matter that Wlad was 40?
I knew you would take that bait
Thanks, for checking out boxrec this time though

If we can look closely between Pulev and Jennings fight, Klitschko has blessed with his first child, and this is a big stress for everyone, especially for athletes, his girlfriend back then has fighting depression and they obviously have problem in their relationship. This think have impact as well.
And lets not forget Klitschko was trained by himself. Even he said that, Banks is just for the support and he is training on his own mostly and he is calling the shot. This is the worst thing that happen to a fighter.
And lets not forget Tyson Fury ran from Klitschko 2 time in a row. I`m pretty sure he would have lost big in the rematch. Excatly how Oliver McCall lost to Lewis in a laughable circus. The difference between Klitschko and Lewis in that manner is that McCall stepped to the ring, tho he didn`t even wanted to be on the ring and lost, while Fury run 2 time from the rematch ....

And Fury didn`t want that fight, Klitschko lost it. If Klitschko was just 10% better he would have won the rematch clearly, and there was no way for Fury to be on better form, he would probably be on way worst.
And we are talking about way past Klitschko.

From the current boxer in this era i think only Joshua have what it takes to surprass Klitschko in terms of quality in the prime, but AJ needs to improve, but the dude is working really hard in the gym.

To be fair i really want to see Fury vs Joshua fight, because i think Joshua have what it takes to beat Fury and beat him convincingly by KO/TKO.

Beats Wilder. Joshua starting to become prime himself. But slight edge to Klitschko there 60-55/40-45.

    Loses against optimized Fury.

    Beats Ruiz.

I think he could come back for a one off go at Foreman's record. Could well be Usyk that is champ in 2021 so it would make perfect sense.

    100% This.

Thats also why people tend to overrate Lewis. He would be in the insidious six altogether with Fury, Wlad, Joshua Vitali and.. (maybe Wilder)

Speaking of Ray Austin knocking out a shot to smithereens Golota. Here's Wlad sparking his surrogate sparring son Bootleg Dorticos' second best win's (Stiverne) second best win (Austin) without throwing a single right hand in the fight.

    This content is protected

Fast forward to four years later and we have a near 41 y/o way past it Austin schooling Stiverne's ass for the vast majority of the fight until the old man's gas tank inevitably began to deplete and he got clipped in the 10th. Stiverne made Austin look like a prime Larry Holmes and the commentary team were scathing of his performance.

Even Bootleg Dorticos agrees with that assessment and the fat waddling Haitian penguin Stiverne is one of the few actual world class fighters Bootleg D has fought in his 43 professional outings (3 in total and lost to the 40% of the other one) and is unquestionably his second best win.

''The only guy he [Stiverne] has on his resume is Chris Arreola. That's it! And then I got to give my man Ray Austin some credit. He was 40 something and still whipping his ass all the way until he got clipped in the 11th round (actually it was the 10th). And a guy that's 40 something staying in there.. If Stiverne was the real deal he didn't suppose to stay in there that long with him.''

    --Deontay Wilder

Ironically, I seem to recall seeing Bootleg D himself getting schooled by a 40 y/o recently until the old man's tanks began to run dry and and he got clipped.

FTR, Austin was widely considered one of Wlad's worst title defences even though he was in his prime, hadn't lost in six years, and had fought to draws against Sultan Ibragimov and Larry Donald. So one of Wlad's worst title challengers who Wlad sparked out a prime version of in 2 rounds without throwing a single right hand is Stiverne's 2nd best win even though he was almost 41, way past his prime, and was schooling Stiverne for most of the fight lol

Stiverne's best win is Areolla who was toyed with by Vlad's brother back when Arreola was in his prime and the later was also beaten by blown up by 175 pounder Adamek.

The we have the likes of Pianeta who was also widely considered one of Wlad's worst title challengers beating Duhaupas (Wlad, who was 37 y/o and past his prime at the time, received a lot of flak for fighting Pianeta as he did for fighting his mandatory Austin too). That's the same Duhaupas who gave Bootleg Dorticos problems and a golf ball eye and who the later didn't come close to flooring despite throwing everything bar the kitchen sink at him. Wlad toyed with Pianeta before knocking him out.

Bootleg Dorticos' best win is OAP Ortiz whose best win is Bryant Jennings for goodness sake. Ortiz's second best win is either a 45 y/o way past it Tony Thompson or Malik ''Scuba'' Scott. Neither of those ATG killers could demolish a sandcastle with a sledgehammer, In fact, OAP Ortiz, who like Stiverne has a short reach, cement feet, and a head which is a magnet for right hands (sounds like very favourable stylistic match ups for a certain fighter from Tuscaloosa), has only fought one puncher his entire career and he got knocked out x 2 by them.

Yes Ortiz managed to get Jennings out of there and a 39 y/o way past prime Wlad whose speed had diminished, was taking part in his 63rd pro fight, and who couldn't pull the trigger like he once could, didn't but don't forget that Wlad victim Wach was able to viciously KO an in shape Christina Hammer who a 257lb worse version of was lighting Ortiz up all night with right hands and gave him a tough fight and took him the distance. So following that line of thinking Wach>>Ortiz then, right? Povetkin pretty much schooled Hammer too.

Wlad was never schooled by anyone, let alone a 40 y/o man even when Wlad was way past his prime and in his late 30s and early 40s. In fact, a 41 y/o way way past prime Wlad who'd lost speed and who hadn't fought in a year and a half was actually beating the #1 ranked HW in the world AJ, dropped him heavily, and came mightily close to KHTFO.

And Wlad beat a prime undefeated Povetkin who is still to this day ranked in the Ring Magazine's top 7 even though he's 40 y/o and way past his prime, a prime undefeated Pulev who is still to this day ranked in the Ring Magazine's top 10, and a prime undefeated Wach who we just witnessed give the current #4 ranked Ring ranked HW Whyte a real tough fight even though Wach is way past his best and 40 y/o.

And Wlad was past his prime when he beat all those guys too. Almost 37 when he beat Wach (this is around the same time as Wlad sparked Bootleg D in the gym x 2), 37 when he beat Povetkin (granted his holding and mauling was disgraceful in that fight), and almost 39 when he beat Pulev. And like I said, a 41 y/0 way past it Wlad who hadn't fought in a year and a half was beating the current three-belt unified king and Ring ranked #3 AJ too, dropped him heavily and very likely would've beaten him had he put his foot on the gas. If he still had his speed and his youth it would've been a massacre.

I think prime Wlad as safety first as he was, would be trailing and even he would know he needs a KO and I think hes easily good enough to put Tyson to sleep. You watch how light he was and how good he moved for Haye, he can dance and move just as good as any of them for his size. Fury although a great mover I think is style more than substance, he can be caught, hurt and dropped by far less punchers than Wlad. The best Wlad stops the best Fury imo

Sam Peter was a zero skill caveman, full stop, if he even had a ounce of boxing ability he would have stopped WK.......one of the worst unskilled fighters of the decade.

WK got walked down in his prime by a journeyman.........got ko'ed by a Heavybag .......blitzed by a flash in the pan Golfer....stunk the joint far too long.

The only reason that he is lapped up is because of deluded AJ and Fury fans because according to their logic they beat the "great "WK so those two must be "great" too.....the problem is the solution I mentioned above.....WK got waxed by absolute ham and eggers in his prime without much fuss

Beast. The shame with Wlad was that he never - either by himself or by lack of his opposition - had the oppurtunity to put it all together in one performance to show off his true ceiling. He was a generational talent with just elite performances.
