    MFing Mike Tyson.....
First fight I ever watch on live TV was Tyson vs Tubbs when i was 6 years old.
I watched it on a tiny, portable black and white TV.
Same TV i saw the Challenger blow up on

Early 90's, Christopher Livingstone Eubank. What ever people say about him he was the ultimate showman.

I was loosely following boxing but I think the first fighter that I used to root for was Sugar Ray Leonard
I was one of the ones who didn't have a problem with the draw against Hearns and thought Ray had done enough

If it was the first fighter ever i would say Muhammed Ali. But i only became a hardcore fan in 2010 and i would say that Manny Pacquaio and Sergio Martinez played a big role in hooking me. Also Mayweather and so many, i love this sport because of the drama in each division.

I had been watching boxing for a while, but I was a fan of nobody. Until I saw fernando el feroz vargas. I became insta fan. For no reason, I guess, I just started rooting for him like for no other. Fernando el feroz vargas, what a fighter!

    It hurt, btw. :(

I still root for him when I rewatch his fights, even those he lost, especially those he lost, especially the de la hoya fight. **** de la hoya!

Which is weird, because most people (including those who don't ordinarily like DLH) consider him the protagonist in that one, although I'm sure a lot of that had to do with Lampley's cheerleading and rhetoric about Oscar "beating up the bully".

Like many young British guys, Ricky Hatton. I was also a massive fan of Jack Dempsey when I first got into classic Boxing.

Both were great at stuffing their face and self indulgence, though :D

And they had the gift of gab in common, both could sell a fight and win over a crowd before the match had started. (and once it did, they emptied their clips and gave as much of themselves as the fans could ask for)

First boxer I really followed was Floyd Patterson. I loved his leaping left hook.
