Jacobs apologized to Jr for the headbutts and elbows after the bout. In the post fight interview Jr made it clear that he was very upset at Jacobs for fighting dirty, and that he received several headbutts by Jacobs and an elbow to the Nose which fractured his nose. He said he was swallowing a lot of blood after the 5th round.

Jr quotes through the translator : "He didn't beat me by fighting, he elbowed me, he head butted me, and the referee wasn't doing anything."

"He was fighting dirty and he would have been able to continue to do that dirty work he never really fought with me."

And before you start accusing Jr of making excuses, you can clearly see Jacobs apologize to Jr twice for headbutts and elbows in the ring after the match.

shadow much respect to you brother....honestly speaking Jr was well in his way to a career cancelling beat down. His durability would have been his demise.

In the Jacobs post fight interview in the ring, the DAZN announcer starts off the interview by saying to Jacobs "the crowd is upset but it has nothing to do with you or your performance".

    WRONG

What happened had everything to do with Jacobs and his performance, that's why he apologized to Jr TWICE after the fight was stopped. HIS fouling is what injured Jr and caused the stoppage.

The guy who failed a drugtest running up to this fight (for the xth time in his career), came in massively over the contracted weight (also for the xth time in his career) and then quits, has lost all rights to point fingers imo.

When a fighter is fouled like that, you give it right back the same way.

Whether Jr. was fouled or not, its quite clear to me that mentally he doesn't belong in a ring.

Seeing Jr. pointing out to the referee that he was being fouled just made me sick to my stomach, I was saying to myself, "Do something about it. Pound him with a ****ing elbow yourself. ****ing hit him below the belt. Fight fire with fire, but Jrs. insides don't burn that way.
To succeed in the boxing game you have to have a burning desire to payback when you get fouled, if you don't have it, you need to get out of the game.

He did a lot about it, he did a lot about it with legal punches. If a guy is fouling you repeatedly and getting away with it, that puts you in a difficult position. If you foul back the ref may only see your foul and warn you. Jr chose to keep fighting clean and he was loading up and hitting Jacobs with some massive right hands.

Jacobs wasn't used to not being the bigger man, he wasn't used to getting tagged like that and Jacobs took the easy way out and started fouling Jr, badly. I get what you're saving divac, if you get fouled you're supposed to give him a taste of his own medicine. But Jr chose not to retailate with fouls, he chose to retailiate with legal firepower and that should be applauded. If Jacobs indeed fractured his nose by landing an elbow right on his nose, then Jacobs should be criticized for that, not Jr. Obviously no one likes a quitter in boxing, but no one likes a cheater or a dirty fighter either. Quitting as a result of bad fouling and being badly injured as a result is different than just quitting.

I gained a new perspective after seeing this interview. In it, it clearly shows Jrs. nose broken.
Not sure if it was by a foul or punch, but I would still like to see Jr. with more of a burning desire to retaliate instead of turning to the referee
    for help in that circumstance.

I am happy to see Sr. take up for his son and defend his actions, because whether merited or not, Jr. needs the backing of his pops at this moment.

Considering YOU thought there was no illegal blows/head butting/elbows in Ward v Kovalev you have no right to post this bull crap.

If you're getting fouled and the referee's doing nothing about it, you have every right to carry on about how you're being fouled. The first thing Jacobs did when he met Jr in the ring after the fight was stopped was apologie twice about his headbutts and elbows. That speaks volumes.

So here we have a guy who has no big wins on his resume, a PED cheat, never seems to be able to make weight and now a 2 time quitter having excuses made up for him.

The Mexican fans of his need their heads banging together the man is a disgrace.

What I said about Ward Kovalev 2 was that the only low blow was the final punch and it was when Kovalev was hunched over in a fetal position. The shots that Ward landed that set up the stoppage were all belt-line or legal shots. Trying to twist my words based on your foggy memory of what I said then apply it this is very poorly done.

That was a very different scenario to what happened here. Kovalev didn't get his nose badly fractured from a Ward flying elbow with blood pouring out of it like Jr did from Jacobs. AND he had a cut over his eye from a headbutt, and Jacobs knew he did wrong and apologized to Jr twice in the ring. None of that happened in Ward Kovalev.
