Just logged onto IFL youtube and watched half a minute of each new Smith brother & Gallager interviews. To be honest I can't watch them without getting a bit angry, hence the 30 second viewing time, which is sad I know. I love the level of support Ryder is getting, each upload is getting hammered with thumbs down and Ryder comments! I love it. I am biased, me and my Girlfriends Dad have been following his career for a bit due to some loose connections and I was gutted he didn't get the decision that night. He has a great boxing style, shows some really great technical ability and gets stuck in. I think marketed better he could do well...he is certainly less dry than Callum Smith, but doesn't have the level of home support the smith brothers have. That said the boxing community is definitely behind him right now. I implore everyone who thinks Ryder won to get on those videos and to upvote the comments you agree with and downvote the video 'if' they annoyed you as much as they annoyed me. Will hopefully all help get the rematch done or see some kind of right be done for Ryder.
I’ve literally just walked past John Ryder on oxford st, would’ve approached him but he had headphones on and pushing a baby in a pram, he looked really well though. central London is surprisingly quiet considering it’s the Saturday before Xmas
It also helps that no one really likes the Smith brothers. They're all universally disliked apart from Stephen. That's why Ryder is getting a lot of support
One of the few benefits of living in this social media age is we as fans actually do have an uncensored voice. If fans continue to bombard anything to do with Smiths posts then they may be backed into a corner
Like that's going to happen. The Smith brothers have been getting rubbished for years so nothing new to them. I see British fans as being a bit tribalistic, they really get behind the fighters they like to the point they become absolute mongs (Tbf it could be that some were just mongs to start of with, and these idiots are always the loudest). Why would the Smith brothers feel obliged to do something a bunch of mongs want them to do, ffs if they did that Liam would be bashing Williams every weekend lol. The amount of mongs that still think Williams can beat him is atrocious.
I have really enjoyed seeing the amount of support John Ryder has been getting online. Gallagher and Callum Smith could not appear in any youtube video post fight without getting trashed in the comments, and being downvoted to hell. Great stuff. I am sure twitter was probably a blood bath too for them
Mate he lost a close decision to a hometown fighter. Get over it and get a life tbh. Sorry to sound harsh. It's Xmas. Get out there and have some fun.
If he had any self respect he would rematch Ryder immediately. If he thinks he such a superior fighter to Ryder he should show us and right that wrong.
