Billy Conn by decision. Too quick, too busy, too good.

Billy Conn was a very quick boxer with good footwork, as seen in his 1941 World Heavyweight Title bout against champion Joe Louis. Conn was outpointing Louis, by catching Joe with quick combos and using good footwork. But he was kayoed by Louis, as he tried for the knockout. Against Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, who is quick and can punch, Conn would use his boxing skills and footwork to keep distance from Eddie. Billy will not make the same mistake, that he did with Louis and cruise to a unanimous decision. Eddie is no walk in the park, he was very talented.

Conn too busy. Eddie at his best makes it very competitive though

    Conn on points.

He had the movement and boxing skills to frustrate a plodding Mustafa.

Eddie could be a lazy fighter at times.

I would actually pick 1980 Eddie over Conn, but no other version of Eddie. For a little while there he seemed continuously motivated and that version of him had real potential for greatness.

Like Conn in a interesting bout. Billy on points, Eddie at his best could really push Conn.

Conn was not only quick but durable. If the Eddie that won the Title from Marvin
Johnson showed up then this version would be trouble for any LHW Champ.
Eddie would launch a fierce body attack that would slow down Billy but not
derail him. The very classy Conn by un dec.
