    That was a brutal left hook cotto caught him with in round 12, I think it broke his collarbone.

    I didnt like this matchup at the time because Mayorga was just a guy with a name at that point brought in for A listers to get a win against... yet it turned out to be a decent scrap I guess.

    I remember when Mayorga was making fun of Cottos small hands... and Cotto replied "these fists beat Shane Mosley... you remember who is Shane Mosley?" (Or something like that)

    Also Mayorga gave Cotto a flower at the weigh in lol.

    Unpopular opinion time.

    Prime for prime, Mayorga beats Cotto, if its at welterweight, imo.

    Mayorga came within seconds of beating Mosley, actually. (well, on my scorecard, as well as that of one official judge, Pat Russell)

    Mayorga did well vs Mosley, he actually adapted. But Mosley was not prime either.

    Mayorga was tough against anyone... he gave Cotto everything he can handled and yes he gave Shane all he can handle ..., Tito methodical style and left hook dispatch him when Mayorga's bravado got the best of him..,
