Vasquez already had his legacy bulit and was taking a beating from a huge puncher not even close to Jacob's vs Chavez, a good example is Vasquez vs Marquez 3 you should see that Vasquez fought with a terrible eye fought till the end and won, sadly he lost his eye, in the other hand, Chavez has had a amount of excuses never makes weight and puts on his wrost performance in every big fight, not to mention his legacy and warrior spirit is trash compare to Vasquez.

Kirk, don't get me wrong, I was rooting for Chavez, but I was upset Chavez didn't make weight and on the way he quit, especially since the embarrassing performance against Canelo, I mean enough is enough.

Don't get me wrong, I thought Chavez should have given it a go for at least another round to see if the corner could do something about the bleeding from his nose, but for you to praise Vasquez for being a Warrior in a situation where he lost his eye????
I say the smart thing for Vasquez to have done that night is to have quit on his stool when he couldn't see out of his eye.
The cornermen are even more to blame for Vasquez losing his eye.
    Just terrible!

Jacobs playing it smart... easy money against a guy that if you break him in the ring will quite!

What's more important, winning a boxing match and going through the rest of your life with only 1 eye or "quitting" and having both your eyes?

Chavez was getting beat up and quit against Fonfora as well. You could see how he reacted and fought against guys his own size.

    Not well.

When faced with adversity as in when fighting guys he cannot physically overwhelm, he wilts and looks for a way out.

Maybe due to his privileged background, he just dosen't have that forged in adversity mental toughness of the best fighters.

If he spent hours in the gym every week getting his head handed to him by bigger, stronger fighters he'd become better. I'm guessing he beats up on Mexico City sissy boys that he outweighs by fifty pounds to satisfy his ego. Then when faced with real adversity, he cannot deal with it and folds.

He is an embarrassment and circus act at this point.

It was a joke of a fight to begin with. JCC hasn't tried to be a real fighter in a long time, and he knew he was in there just to sell tickets to begin with.. it's why he didn't bother making weight... he got a paycheck and got out. Did we at all expect anything else?

True. Absolutely correct. That's why very few people have what it takes to succeed at the highest levels of professional boxing.

Yes I am aware of Vasquez's tremendous legacy and he is without a doubt in the Warriors Hall of boxing, I was merely pointing out that he did indeed quit himself due to a broken nose.

Ya I couldn't believe he lost his eye. Absolutely insane. I hate the price that some fighters pay to the sport.
