Bivol had stated he could come down to 168 for a fight. Canelo would be taking on a prime elite fighter. Who wins?

Good fight. Bivol has the size advantage, Canelo has shown far more in his toolbox and has way more experience.

If Canelo beat Bivol at 168 people would say that his win doesn't count for anything because Bivol was weight drained.

This fight will never happen. Okay, the only chance this fight happens is if Canelo drains Bivol to 160. At 168, Bivol easily beats Canelo. He might not get the decision but he beats Canelo soundly. Bivol is too big and too prime for Canelo. Not a knock on Canelo, he’s a natural MW. Bivol is a small LH who can easily make SMW.

For the record, I don’t like these types of fights. Let guys fight opponents their own size. I’m not interested in seeing who can manipulate the scales better, I’m more interested in seeing a great boxing match between two similar sized fighters. Canelo ve Chenko or BJS, or Andrade, Charlo, GGG rematch is more exciting because these guys are the same size. Lots of good MW options for Canelo, why the push to get him to fight much bigger guys and play games with hydration clauses or catch weights? That stuff is nonsense, IMO.

Bivol schools him for 12 rounds, loses a majority decision.

You don't even like Bivol, I don't like Canelo but I really can't see him being schooled by Bivol. Now Beterbiev on the other hand.

All this up and down in weight and catch-weight nonsense just muddies the waters (as far as which victories are or aren't creditable, or how much). Everyone just STFU about paydays and fight whoever is your own size. Or if you're small and want to gamble for glory, fine, head on up ..but go all the way up, no cw or rehydration clauses or anything. Don't invite the bigger guy down, EVER. That is always just a punk ***** move. Same goes for big guys who just happen to be able to make huge weight cuts and then put a ton back on without adverse draining effects and demolish naturally far smaller guys.

Everybody just knock it off, the nonsense makes this sport unbearable.

I don't like Bivol, but I also rarely score any Bivol match anything other than a shutout. He's a far better boxer than Beterbiev. If Bivol had Beterbiev's power, he'd literally be unstoppable.

They most likely would. Canelo is hated by most on this forum.

Hate is a strong word. I'd say he is respected as a fighter but...the games his management team plays are not appreciated.

naah, its hate. i have a dislike for canelo, but im having to defend him here from the unreasonable butthurt.
canelo whooping ggg and then kovalev broke a lot of hearts, some are still in the denial stage.
