Was Mike Tyson right to bite Holyfield?

Holyfield was desperate to face Tyson throughout his career, says it all really.

He knew all along he had Tyson's number, it happens in boxing.

Great post. That staredown was extremely telling and I'd never, EVER seen Mike do that. Of course it had to do with Holyfield beating him the first time and a lot had to do with Mike not really wanting a true test too early into his comeback. He knew he'd always beat Bruno and I actually know Mike trained harder for Seldon than the first Holyfield bout.

Posters have said this before but Tyson became a spoiled brat who was complaining to the referee about Holyfield's butting. Prime Tyson, hell even post Rooney/pre-prison Tyson would foul Holy right back. But this fight was Holyfield's entire career, even in his own mind, to place his name in the history books by beating a still formidable Mike Tyson.

You see, I never go to Holyfield threads and badmouth his misdeeds, it's only when these fans who've never laced them up can parrot psychological evaluations on Mike's behavior. Dude, no one here can compare to being a blip on the radar of Mike Tyson's life. I've never defended his despicable actions outside the ring. You think Mike Tyson gives a fukk about anyone here, fans or not? I've even posted earlier in this thread that you DON'T bite someone's ear off. I disagree that it was his way out of a fight many of you claim he'd lost in the staredown, but who knows if Tyson starts working Holy's body and tightens his defense against Holy's counters. It was definitely a winnable fight for Mike, Evander knew this and even used his own bullying tactics far earlier in the rematch. That's why Mike snapped.

It's the same shyte over and over again with Unforgiven. He can't stand when posters favor Tyson in every single fantasy bout. My guess is he lost a ton of money betting on Tyson somewhere down the line. But it picks things up a bit here. He would never get away with that at Checkhook. Anyways, I just put that other bellend on ignore. But if he wants some in ring action, I've already called him out on it!

I like talking about Mike's actions in the ring best, and I am guessing you feel the same.

I do. He made a complete fool of himself outside the ring, which I will never defend. The **** conviction was a bit iffy though. Check out Rudy Gonzalez, Tyson's former bodyguard's book called THE INNER RING. Rudy didn't have the best ghost writer but there's stuff in there that 99% of this forum is clueless about.

Prime for prime, and without spending 4 years in the clink, Tyson KO 8 Holyfield.

Yeah that would be fairly odd to say to someone. I'd never say it to anyone and wouldn't want anyone saying it to me. But whose the clueless one here in regards to street slang, pud?

He trained that hard for Seldon he knocked him out with a miss.

You know nothing about Tyson's training for any of his bouts let alone Holyfield, you seriously believe he took him lightly, righto......

The shite you spout is unreal, you can try and pretend to ignore me or take your beating like a man.

Tyson would have done sweet fcuk all to Holyfield had he not curred out, why the hell do you think he bit him you imbecile.

Like Jose Torres mentioned, Tyson must have been thinking there's no way I'm going to beat this man.

He knew it, Holyfield knew it, we all knew it apart from Sandra the ever faithful backwards lapdog.

Old, battered and bald Holyfield kicked a younger Tyson's arse. Just imagine what an early 90's version of the Real Deal would have done to him.

Early Holy as a heavy was quite the devastating force.

Yes but you will hear the old clichés that say he was too small and weak, this is the fcuker that battled with a massively powerful George Forman FFS. Mike Tyson too stong, GTFOH.

You keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep at night even though glorified fringe contender Buster Douglas beat the hell out of and ktfo 23 years old prime Tyson.

Holyfield was levels above any version of Douglas and to be frank was levels above Mikey T when they fought as well, despite being older, far more battle worn and supposedly shot.

The ultimate in internet f*ckknucklery "Come on anonymous forum poster who I know I'll never ever meet, let's have a fight!" Are you 12 years old or something you dropkick?

    Anyway
    A) We probably live in different hemisphere's.
    B) I wouldn't waste my hard earned travelling to whatever cesspit you live in.
    C) You couldn't afford to travel to my lovely part of the world to meet me
    D) Your idea of a heated spar session is probably to strip down to our Speedos and hop in a hot tub and chat about how manly and wonderful Tinkerbell is. No thankyou.

Str8 Off Tha Streetz of Muthafukkin Compton. It's actually slang for being a puzzy. The opposite of Philo Beddoe.

    Happy New Year!!
