Is "Left Hook" the worst nickname ever among mainstream fighters?

Dr Steelhammer and Ironfist were lame
DDD for Dubois is horrendous

 

Bud is the worst.

 

Loved it. I wonder, are you supposed to give a reverent little pause between saying his first and last name, or just utter a grunt where the nickname should be?

 

Boo Boo is pretty bad.
Can't think of worse, but its not left hook.

 

Bambam Rios was terrible. I've always thought hitman was a terrible unimaginitive nickname for a boxer even though many have had it.

 

GGG and DDD are the two worst nicknames of higher level "mainstream" boxers. It's like they didn't even try. And spare me the "It's their initials" b.s.. That makes it no better.

I always did hate "Left Hook" though, it's definitely up there. And "boo boo" is awful as well. To be able to pull off a nickname that has nothing to do with boxing, you've gotta be at a certain level notoriety; "Winky", "Sweet Pea", "Canelo" etc.

 

It's only acceptable if your name is Larry.

A grunt or sigh should suffice, I believe. It may seem demoralizing to Malignaggi, but then again, he won’t punch any harder either way.
