So are you now saying you're less likely to be jobbed on the cards as an American in the UK than a British fighter in America? I think the bias towards the 'home' fighter in the USA is pretty evident in the judging with Mexicans being the notable exception as they due to their drawing power in America they're treated as honorary citizens. Now as to your other points, yes the officiating in the UK is poor when compared with other countries and UKAD are a complete joke who should be shut down and replaced with a competent body. What happened with the Fury cousins failed tests was bad and Whyte's situation is arguably even worse. USADA is also pretty terrible but UKAD are hopeless to a point in which I don't think as an org they can be redeemed.
yes i am, and i dont need to throw in any exceptions to qualify my statement. theres not a whole deal of difference, and i dont harp on it, im just clarifying what numerous brit posters like to pretend happens in america, as if uk is some exemplary alternative.
And everyone is still waiting for this list from you of American fighters that have been robbed on UK soil!! Can't think of any can you!
I felt Fury won, but I can see a draw tbh. The notion that Fury won 10 clear rounds is ridiculous. For me, many rounds there were very few punches separating both fighters. Hopefully we have no BS with the cards, fingers crossed its an even playing field.
He will receive a similar one to which McDermott received in the first fight A very biased and unfair score But once you accept one in your favor You cannot cry when one is given against you
Benn eventually recovered & pulled it off, but the sketchy Ref had a hard-on for G-Man & didn't allow him to finish off a vulnerable Benn
@CST80 you liked this post. Can you give some examples of Yanks getting the sharp end of the stick in Blighty in recent years? You seem to know your boxing history.
Correct. Fury fought very negatively and that kind of **** clearly didn't win over the judges in the 1st fight (even though I had him comfortably winning). Fury is gonna have to be far more aggressive if he wants to even sniff a decision this time. Hopefully Sugar Hill is tattooing that into his brain as we speak. That right cross is gonna need to come behind that tapping jab often. He's gonna need to throw combinations (which he clearly has the ability to do) and landing 72 punches in 12 rounds and hoping for a win ain't gonna cut it. There was once a boxing scholar that said "This is boxing not tidliwinks". That philosopher was Ricky Hatton.
The same hatton which was very derogatory to witter and his style but yet gushes all over furys saftey first approach Comical and agenda driven aint it
Keeping in mind that punches landing on gloves and fresh air aren't supposed to be scored in the first place, I think he'll get what he deserves.
why? what is showing you examples going to do? its not like its going to change your mind, you would already be aware of these things if you followed boxing enough already. some people just dont want to see it, and will play where they dont have to.
