He was done years ago when it was exposed that he was a Glass Jawed fighter. He tried to use PED’s but that doesn’t fix a Glass Jaw.

Skilful... but you can only hide your weaknesses for so long!

He was washed up and done long before his most recent loss. Gamboa hasn’t been competitive for a long time. The blown out Achilles was just a bonus. I’m surprised he was considered a legit opponent and even more surprised Davis fans were willing to accept this type of challenger for Tank. The shelf life date for Gamboa as a boxer expired a long time ago.

Overall, it was a disgraceful, embarrassing choice of opponent for Davis and an even more disgraceful performance. His stock went way down in my opinion and I didn’t think highly of him before the fight. Spin it any way you like, Gamboa is shot to pieces and Tank is a hyped protected fighter who was exposed by a ghost.

He's been done for a few years now. But as it stands if he wants any chance if landing a big fight, or maybe winning a title belt again, it will have to come at the lower weights... 135 is just too big imo for a past prime Gamboa.

Tbf hes still looked skilled enough the other night....thats with an achilles injury. Certainly never gonna be the top man again...but still looked like he had enough to take a few half decent scalps. Not finished just older. Thats all. Hard to say cause achilles injuries gonna hamper anyone. But looked to me like he still had something to offer if thry play it smart.

Say the achilles did hamper him....davis showed enough flaws that gamboa could have caused an upset the other night. Hard to say but looked like it hampered his power.

If you take Gamboa ankle and like Crawford ankle or Mikey ankle or Loma ankle and you crack em together it's like egg boxing with Peter Attia and Gamboa gon be like the Joe Louis egg and have like twenty-five defenses. Gamboa still elite in that sense. He's real good

When Biogenesis got KO'd, Gamboa's peak went right down for the count with it. He's been done.

I think he’s done as a boxer, much less a top tier.
