Whatever money he may get from Meet The Furys, is it worth the possible disruption it could cause to his preparations for the Wilder rematch? Does anyone know when filming was due to start and finish?
Fury is not a boxer, he's a celebrity, he'll do whatever makes money. Regarding the fight, he's getting his guarantee, plus an upside on some ridiculous PPV number that will never be hit so might as well move on to the next thing
Just my personal opinion here... but I would say Fury is a boxer... And he isn't fighting only for the money. He wants that belt.
When I say he's not a boxer I mean that boxing is not his priority. I don't think he cares about the belts, he's been back a couple of years now and had one world title fight but claims to be defending the lineal title. If he wins in Feb he will not defend the belt or try to unify, he'll probably go back to playing games and fighting no names. This scenario, in which he wins the strap then bins it would plunge the division into more disarray as the WBC belt would go to someone, AJ holds the others, Fury would claim to be lineal, and Wilder would be going crazy that he's number 1. I could be proven wrong and I hope I am but I don't hold out much hope.
Perhaps. I do think that Fury's accounts of his mental health problems are exaggerated/made up in some cases. I just worry that he's bitten off more than he can chew in doing a reality show whilst preparing for a world title fight.
Absolutely and he's already in better shape right now than he was going into the first fight too. I think a better shape fury, might be a lil too much for Wilder, especially if he can take the punch without having to summon his inner undertaker to rise from the dead once again.
Of course he is focused. If he gets beat though, people will bang on about prime Fury for years to come
Lol him and his team know it's the end for him after the second fight. He's lucky he got through the first one. He's a wounded lion, being ready to be picked off by the ravenous hyena that is Deontay Wilder.....
Fury is already preparing for a career post boxing. But he will be focused on the rematch because you would be a fool not to be, when your were almost put into a coma in the first fight.
I don't think bi-polar nutheads are ever focused on any one thing 100%. It goes against their nature.
