Taylor was of course not the same post Chavez in 1990, by the time he fought Espana, with a Norris pasting in him, he was gone, albeit with slight hindsight as he was still the betting favourite!
Steve Collins admitted he was shot post Cummings and thus pulled out the Calzaghe fight, gave up his title and his fighting career.
Calzaghe was a far better fighter than Collins and anyone he fought aside from McCallum who was by far his best opponent.
I don`t think Hearns was shot when he beat Hill, but his body looked shot, his definition was gone and a lot of his old speed, he also wasn`t as tactically astute as he was in the Benitez bout, that display was awesome.
Yes, he gave up the light Heavy crown in 62 after beating Rinaldi the year before in his final defence.
Many feel Benn lost to Malinga in their first bout, he didn`t like careful cagey fighters, Jones didn`t look good v Malinga either, he had trouble opening him up until catching him in the 6th.
I had forgotten about him. Davey Hilton took advantage and beat him to finally win a title. Then, Hilton got in trouble with the law,,again..shortly thereafter.
Darren Barker against Felix Sturm. His back was messed up by that point and he didn’t get passed the 2nd round.
Good answers, but I might have to disagree with most. I think by the very nature of the fact that Brown, for instance took a dominant Terry Norris apart Brown by definition could not have been "shot." He may gave been on the downside of his career, but he was still very capable. Curry over Rosi the same. Not the same guy that blitzed McCrory, but...... Still, all subjective I guess.
