AJ will be booked up all year with his Mandatory Defenses against Waldo leftover Pulev in April then I bet the Usyk fight gets put off until December 2020 or they just give up the belt and skip Usyk, burning up 2020 with 2 matches tops... Probably Hearn will bring in a Bosnian Cab Driver to fill in for Usyk last minute for AJ to Feast on...
I 100% agree with this comment. I said it before that i really want to see Wilder vs Ruiz. Ruiz need to take 1-2 tune up fights and fix his weight and this will be a great fight to make, and will answer a lot of question, like how good Wilder is against a hungry prime opponent, how good Ruiz chin is, and how powerful Wilder right hand really is.
Its funny how some people are talking about Joshua chin, a chin that stood to Klitschko power(even old and faded Klitschko), Whyte power as well, and has done very well against Parker, who is very, very fast fighter, that couldn`t land anything meaningful for 12 straight round, as well as Povetkin(even old and faded one), who Wilder avoided like a plague, as well as Takam, and people are oh god Wilder just need 1 shot, but so Joshua, because i`m pretty sure Wilder chin is way worst to Joshua, and Wilder power at least to me is yet to be proven against a boxer with very solid chin. I still don`t get some how people have nerves to still write completely b.s. after the 2nd fight between Joshua and Ruiz, where so many people were saying that the "bodybuilder" is finish and he can`t change his style and can`t do s*****, Andy has his number and will KO him without a doubt, yet this people are writing the same bull..... again. Why should anyone take your opinion on serious note ? Joshua was TKO by Ruiz, because he eat very hard counter punch right on the ear, that connect to the temple and he was obviously not the same fighter after that, he was most probably concussed, and still took Ruiz 3 more rounds to TKO Joshua, who finish the fight on his feet. The fight at very best is 50-50, but i would say 60-40, because Joshua is the superior boxer in any aspect, and Joshua has face similar fighter to Wilder, yet Wilder is totally unprepared. But as i said it before, no way this fight happen. Wilder is cherry picker, he won`t face any real danger. He is facing Fury, because he know Fury lack power, and Wilder think he can KO him, which very well may be the case in the second fight. He is dodging Whyte as a plague, yet some people are hoping to fight Joshua, no f***** way. Joshua should have moved long ago and stop talking about Wilder and trying to get match with him. But i think this is Eddie Hearn thing. I really think he is wrong for Joshua. Joshua has plenty of matches left and can make plenty of money, so Hearn should stop thinking all about the money, but instead to choose the right opponent, with which Joshua can develop and improve more. One of the reason of why Joshua has lost to Ruiz was the constant looking at Wilder and overlooking his current opponent. Joshua should stop looking for that fight. Right now Joshua should fight Pulev first, than Usyk and free his mandatory. And maybe then look for a solid big money fight with Whyte, Fury and etc.
The bodybuilder is not the same fighter before the Klitschko fight. He's been hurt cracked way too many times. If the blob came in at his June weight of 267, fatso would still be sitting in KFC with the title belt around his waist. People just can't see that his punch resistance has taken a beating. He isn't the same anymore, not every fighter will be short morbidly obese to outbox. Please bodybuilder Joshua, return to the Olympia, they really need you there. Lol
AJ is the superior boxer, no doubt, but I still think Wilder could get him out of there early I actually think Anthony's best chance would be to revert back to the old style and jump all over Wilder and get the early knock out himself Similar to Lewis vs Michael Grant I don't like AJ's chances if he plays it safe and I expect him to try it He did box and move well against the heavy, flat footed Ruiz, but he was caught a few times too Wilder is much more powerful than Andy, not to mention he is also much lighter and has a big Reach If Wilder beats Fury, he will have the confidence to go in and knock out AJ imo Confidence at the highest level means everything. No matter what anyone says about Wilder's past competition, he has stepped up recently and if he gets the knock out against Fury? That will be much more impressive than any win on AJ's resume I am not saying joshua hasn't any chance, but I definitely favour the winner of Wilder/Fury over Joshua
My first question is - Is the fight happening or AJ is just talking ? Otherwise it's all just Fart in the wind , nothing to seriously discuss....
Whether you like AJ or not you can't really disagree with his game plan. The longer the fight goes the greater Wilder's chance. You can't try and outpoint Wilder as at some point he will connect given enough time. You have to get in there first.
Think this is a sly dig at Fury also. Fury has all the physical advantages over wilder. Better chin, more weight, longer reach, better legs, and movement yet he clowned around for 12rds instead of bullying and knocking out the glass chicken leg Wilder. I agree with AJ, Aj stops Wilder and makes it look easy i think.
I really don’t believe Joshua can beat Wilder. The way Joshua freezes up when tagged is a total no-go with Wilder, the guy is straight up frightening when he’s got his opponent hurt. Wilder by brutal KO would be my prediction. Plus I believe Wilder is slightly more durable than Joshua. I would pick Fury to outbox Wilder, he already did so once. And, funnily enough, I would pick Joshua go beat Fury. Don’t think Fury can hurt Joshua bad enough, and none of them have very good punch output. I could see Joshua swaying the judges by landing the harder and more telling shots. Also, Fury has a tendency to smother his opponents by getting up close and cross-arming, like he did against Wilder and Wallin. This is a good technique against a straight puncher, but leaves him open for Joshua’s money punch, the uppercut.
If I were training AJ- I'd tell him let's stink out the joint to win this. At one point Wilder had a 25 KO-fight win streak all within four rounds. Deontay is not a slow starter. Rather he is a low output fighter.- when facing better opposition. By choice. And when The Bronze is either in trouble or has his foe in hot water- That is when the Windmill comes out! Holy Snikes A.J. think about that for a moment! We didn't see WindMill Wilder in Ortiz II because he wasn't in trouble & had a skilled mofo in front of him.- It was a slow feel out pace for Luiz who was content on winning by potshots While Deontay looked for trends & repetitive moves he could time & counter. This content is protected That 4th round Ortiz landed flush a few times- And I am supposed to say Wilder is chinny? Ok... This content is protected When Deontay had Stiverne hurt after 1st KD, that's when the WindMiller showed up! And we seem to forget in the stamina department WIlder vs Duhapuas 326 of 587 punches thrown (56%) Duhaupas 98 of 332 (30%). What I liked about Duhaupis fight was seeing Wilder throw moving backwards as well as forward. Not sure AJ can fight backing up. WIlder can & has. Not sure AJ can throw enough to land 300 punches in a fight like Wilder has. In other words the plan of starting fast means AJ (HAS) to finish him off because he has a stamina issue. AJ t Joshua landed 107 of his 355 vs Klitschko and he dug deep. Where is the gas tank at if he drops Wilder early, but he beats the count? Long night AJ. This content is protected 4 min into clip WIlder landing moving backward. 5 min in he is fighting close quarters throwing uppercut after another, unlike his KO of Stiverne it was a Hit Man Hearns @ HW type of shot, where he had distance -then extended that long arm to generate maximum power. Wilder can throw more than 600 in a fight can AJ? Wilder has been hit clean by good hitters. And worse is that the windmiller in Wilder is subject to catch AJ with a stupid looping shot to the head, side of the head top of the head or worse- behind the ears. AJ has accurate shots. Wilder has an accurate right, but in the heat of battle he throws windmills. AJ comes out quick I say he gets KTFO'd quick. AJ is a strong puncher, not a menacing Foreman/Shavers/Tysonesque puncher. War WIlder!
In the video of Stivernes KO the referee makes me laugh both when he pushes Wilder in the corner and when he tries to stop him. Wilder was completely disinteressed in him
I have always believed AJ would knock out Wilder if and when they fight. I agree with his analysis and approach. However I don’t believe the fight will happen as Luke Tyson Fury is going to knockout Deontay Wilder in their February rematch as well as in their 3rd fight.
AJ is just talking. Talk is cheap and easy. I'd love to see AJ vs Wilder. I think it's a fight that could go either way and I think will depend on who gets to who first. AJ, or more correctly his team, will probably want to wait a while and make some easier paydays before taking on Wilder. I hope I'm wrong and AJ soon takes on the winner of Fury vs Wilder but I'm not very hopeful.
