What comes to mind is the Victor Galindez vs Marvin Johnson fight on Nov 30 1979, as the under card to Wilfred Benitez vs Sugar Ray Leonard title bout in New Orleans, Louisiana. Not to take any credit away from Marvin, he was great that night, but Galindez was pretty shopworn at that point in his career. That left hook thrown by Johnson, that sent Victor off his feet was a beauty, it also broke his jaw. But I would have like to have seen both in their respective primes. None the less Marvin won it fair and square, great victory for him.

It's hard to draw a distinct line between "shot" and "fading."
