    :deal:

I'd be shocked if DSG managed to lay a single flush left hook on Pac that wasn't at least partially blocked, slipped or parried.

It was the spring of 1972, and Frank was in Times Square, Manhattan, when....

    Never mind.

I'd wager that Pac will land a higher percentage of right hooks (which is hardly a money shot for him) - if he throws any - than DSG will his left hook.

There hasn't been so left hook reliant a fighter since Jeff Lacy.

@CST80, curious to get your two cents on my analysis above and which points, if any, you strongly disagree with.

I know you mentioned DSG having a decent crack at the upset but I honestly don't see a path for him.

IMO this is a borderline mismatch. Manny will slice & dice Danny, befuddling him with his razzle-dazzle bunny-hop in-and-out, making him miss bucketloads and look downright amateurish and even retardedly bad for long stretches. I don't think even a clean barrage of combos with kayo intentions from Pac will be adequate to stop him, as I'll give the penciled-eyebrowed boricua faggot that much, he's durable - but there will definitely be moments as it trudges on where fans (and maybe papa Angel himself) begin wondering if the white towel might be appropriate. I think DSG will at least finish on his feet, even if he doesn't stay on them all twelve. But he isn't knocking Pac out (his single greatest weapon as a counter-puncher is N/A in this matchup) and over the long haul the disparity in punches landed (if not thrown as well) is going to be too wide a landslide in Pac's favor for a robbery to be justified.

@Chuck Norris and @Max Thunder - you think DGS stops Pac?

Are you just assuming this will be a much lesser version of Pac that fought Thurman? Or do you think DSG stops that version too?

Manny takes this with a decision of some sort; leaning towards UD but possible MD or even SD. Manny will just be too active in the early and middle rounds, Danny inactive. Even if Danny comes on strong towards the end (no guarantee) there may not be enough rounds left for him to win.

...and how is he going to win rounds, period? A master of straight and overhand punches Danny isn't.

He's an okay body puncher - not amazing.

Miguel Cotto landed a flush left hook from Hell in round 3. Pac appeared to have buckled slightly, but seemed fine. It's still a mystery that Pac wasn't put through a wormhole because he literally ran into it as well.

Definitely love this fight. Hope it happens

Pac is too athletic too quick too fast for Danny levels above him .

Pac wins by decision but can stop danny late if he turns it up. In the 11th or 12th.

Pac can definitely stop danny late but he cant let the gas go . danny more flatted footed and less head movement. Pac will have no problem landing his combos on danny trying to stop him bruising his face.

Danny can be competitive and he is tough and durable. The only way danny wins is landing his left hook to pacs side of the head counter or right hand dropping pac in a counter hurting him with enough time left in the round to capitalize and finish off pac

Garcia beats his ass. Garcia is possibly the worst stylistic match up for Pac, esp a 41 year old Pac.

I made this post about Spence-Garcia before Spence had his near career ending incident.

Evidently I was the only one that actually saw Danny beat the living **** out of Granados and stop him in 7. Yeah, I know, Granados is no Spence, but he is tough as nails and has a great chin, and Danny changed up his typical style a little, took the round by round approach of Porter, seeming to learn something from that loss. He'd change it up come forward one round, then lay back and counter punch off the back foot the next one, sometimes vacillating between the two in a round. That's the kind of strategy he needs to apply against Spence, constantly throw off his rhythm, keep him guessing, and punch in-between his punches. Watch this, see if you see what I see? This isn't the halfhearted Danny that came back and laid on the ropes against Rios, this was an aggressive hungry Danny, that wanted to beat Adrian down and make a statement. If he brings this attitude to the Spence match, this like the Porter match will not be easy for Spence.

If that Garcia shows up against Redkach, and then again against Pac, I'm picking Danny by KO. Pac as impressively as he performed against Keith, people tend to forget, he gassed badly in the last 6 rounds, to the point where he was shelling up along the ropes a few times. He was never as hurt or as buzzed in the fight as Thurman was, but he still took a ton of damage. If Danny who will get outboxed for the first 6 or 7 rounds, keeps pouring on the pressure, and making the old man feel his age, he will get to him and hurt him, think about it... Thurman finished fresher against Pac, who gassed badly. Danny finished stronger against a younger fresher Keith, and also finished fairly strong against Porter. Manny won't take this match as seriously as he took the fight against Keith, and might pay for it dearly. A passive Danny, he schools, an aggressive, come forward, constantly jabbing and hooking Danny, Pac will get tired, Danny won't. Not only is he tough as nails, and has an excellent chin, he's also got a great gas tank. Not saying it's a guarantee, but the fact that he showed some life in his first fight back, and some passion and really starting sitting down on his punches trying to for the KO, and this will be his chance of a lifetime, he could be the man who retired a Boxing God, erasing those two losses from the minds of everyone.

Also..... the version Keith fought, wasn't the one going all out for a KO. And Keith said Danny hits A LOT harder than Porter.
