It depends all on how Johnson deals with the movement. If Sergio tries to press Johnson counters him to a decision. If Sergio is allowed to move around Johnson is on the wrong end of a decison. Personally I think Sergios lateral movement might be too difficult for Johnson to overcome.
Johnson, rather easily. He held his own against legit ATG's. Fantastic boxer who would box Sergio's ears off.
Martinez was quick and explosive at MW. Johnson was a highly skilled southpaw with good power and he was very durable, he wasn't the fastest guy though. I was a big fan of both. The only guy who ever beat Johnson clearly was Roy Jones Jr. and he fought Steve Collins, Lamar Parks, William Guthrie, Chris Johnson, James Toney, John David Jackson, Jorge Castro x2, and Antonio Tarver among others. With that said, what we saw from Martinez between 2008-2013 was very special. Between April 2000 (following his early career loss to Margarito) and April 2013 he went 35-1-1 (22) overall and 10-1-1 (7) in world title fights at 154 and 160. I actually thought he deserved the decisions in the loss and draw. He beat Richard Williams x2, Adrian Stone, Alex Bunema, Kelly Pavlik, Paul Williams 1 out of 2, Sergiy Dzinzurek, Darren Barker, Matthew Macklin, Julio C. Chavez Jr., and Martin Murray. The draw was vs. Kermit Cintron but I thought it was B.S.. When Cotto beat him he beat a shell of a man. I'm going with Martinez by close decision.
