I know one thing for certain after talking with 2 members of Grove's team. They were not upset at the verdict in the 1st bout. Ofcourse Grove should have won and retained his IBF title but the crowd was getting nasty. Grove's team were content to take an L and continue living. A bullring in MexiCali is no place for justice.

I always thought Grove did enough during that first bout to win even with the knockdowns.
    Rematch Jorge won fair.
The man could fight and had very fast hands and an underrated defense.

I had a lot of fun watching Paez fight. It was fun watching him work out and sparred. It was even fun to see him at the fights because he always put on a show, even sitting in the crowd.

Strange how I was just thinking about Maromero a few days ago. He fought surprisingly well against Whitaker and gave Pete a tough go at it. Would've loved to see him face Camacho in a loser shaves his head match.

I was at that Whitaker fight. Paez was coming forward the whole night. He gave a good account of himself.

He gave a pretty good account of himself vs one of the greatest lightweights of alltime.
That should speak volumes about how good he was as a boxer.

Yes, one of his best fights no doubt. I was pulling for Paez a tiny bit but knew Chavez was in Whitaker's future, so I was torn. Similar to RJJ's thrashing of Pazienza (the only time I rooted against Roy).
