Does anyone know if an archive for Boxing News exists? It started back in 1909, and I can't seem to find anything.
I have a shed load too, 60s, 70s on mainly but loads of older ones too, I'm sure way over a thousand but just pegged into big boxes.
I assumed monthly because it's a magazine. I was looking for the one released on June 24th. I found the information I was looking for elsewhere, but it would still be cool to see, and possibly own.
Glossy pages were introduced in the 1990's, prior to that it was like newspaper quality. But I do have that issue if you want me to look something up.
Holy smokes, that's awesome. I was really curious about the account of his personality given by the writer of the Jack Johnson piece. Something along the lines of him being merry, shrewd, and a likable man. I was hoping to gleam more about JJs personality through this account. Any help would be very appreciated!
Boxing as it was originally called, became Boxing News in the mid late 1930s I believe, anyhow it came out weekly and still does. I have appox 200 issues or more, 1930s and 40s.
