The Same Rodney Moore that used to fight as a welter on Tuesday Night Fights? He has to be literally 55 years old! POST SCRIPT: I see he is 44 and started at middle. I guess I am the one getting senile.
Yeh, he's fairly young, and has been more active of late ... but still 4 fights in 2 years is not going anywhere. Thought he might be a dark horse, but seems to be just wasting time.
after the ruiz fight I am positivehe said he wanted usyk next and pretty much dared usyk to accept or am I wrong?
So does that mean Parker fights Hammer then? I was kind of expecting Parker to fight Helenius but looks like he's chosen Kownacki instead.
he doesn't do interviews or use social media so i don't know who's guiding him or managing him but they don't seem too eager to get a following for him.
I would have thought his dad would have had all the connections needed to work this stuff out. I understand Willis had legal issues but thhese are sorted. IMO boxers are either going to do it or not do it. Messing around for years on end is probably worse than just moving on to something else. He may well do a Luis Ortiz and end up trying to make something happen once it's almost too late. I'd rather see him have a go now and roll the dice.
Btw ... seems like an ok bloke as well as a formidable boxer. In one of his recent fights he backed off an overmatched opponent and pushed the ref to stop it before his opponent got seriously hurt. Ortiz has a similar disposition I think. Wouldn't mind reading a technical analysis of Meehan.
If this fight happens I'm betting on Helenius. Not because I think he will win but because Kownacki is on borrowed time. It's very unlikely he keeps his 0 long enough to be cashed out against one of the major beltholders. Bet against every Kownacki opponent until he loses. It will pay off eventually. Probably will throw 10-20 on this one depending on the odds.
LOL I'd be surprised if Helenius made it out of the 2nd round. I'm no Kownacki fan but Helenius is shot to bits. I don't know how Whyte went 12 rounds with him, even featherfisted Washington managed to stop him.
This. Helenius is not a healthy fighter, physically or mentally. the only Helenius fight I am interested in seeing is a Chisora rematch, to set things right. The man really should retire.
Probably. But if the odds are juicy I will jump on it. Kownacki sucks and if Helenius has a flash it might be enough.
