Doesn't surprise me to be honest. Either one could KO the other.

When you factor in that Wlad was champ, far more complete than Deontay, has a right hand that hits just as hard as Wildre imo and Deontay was probably an overly aggressive, i can see it happening easily.

Still a dick move to talk about it in the open though.

I saw Whyte say he's seen Bootleg D knocked out in the gym years ago on Sky Sports Ringside. He said he has chin issues and that he'd seen footage of him getting KO'd more than once

I also listened to a podcast years ago where Javan ''Sugar'' Hill said that Wlad hurt Bootleg D ''very badly''

I also watched the James Ali Bashir interview on YT where he said that Wlad dropped him twice and hurt him numerous other times

The poster Chef said that Wlad dropped him at least 2 or 3 times and wobbled him numerous other times. And he also implied that he KO'd him in another post

Andy Lee said the same too

Johnny Nelson said that Wlad sparking out Bootleg D x 2 is ''the worst kept secret in boxing''

And at no point did I get the impression any of them weren't telling the truth. In fact, I felt that one or two were reluctant to disclose the full truth about what happened and didn't want to spill the beans that Wlad had actually KO'd him as opposed to just dropping him.

If you don't think real fights can spark in sparring you are deluded. Not saying this was it, or that what you said is not the case most of the time.

That china chin's been shattered MANY times in the gym, count on it. Which is exactly why Wilder's management has avoided facing any top level fighters in their primes, particularly ones who can punch.

While neat information, in a factoid/trivia way, its next to meaningless.

Whyte says he was expelled from camp for being too rough on Wlad.

“He broke Sexton’s nose,” recalled Whyte. “I said ‘nah, you’re not knocking me out. I’m coming’.

“I went in there and started roughing him up and having a proper fight with him. I got sent home for that.”

This means Whtye would probably sleep Wlad in a real fight.

Wilder's first two defenses in June and September 2015 were journeymen: Molina (Wilder's 34th pro fight) and Duhaupas (his 35th).

Wilder sure needed a lot of seasoning. Usually when a fighter has a world title, he's expected to fight CONTENDERS.

In contrast, Joshua won a world title in his 16th pro fight, despite having fewer amateur fights than Wilder.

Joshua still has only 24 pro fights!
He could have stepped in when Fury pulled out (twice).

But Wilder isn't brave enough to do something like that.

Wilder is exciting, but Wlad is on a different level. Not a surprise that Wlad dropped and KOed him.

Like many punchers with frightening power he’s also very vulnerable.

Part of what makes him so exciting to watch.

If he would ever fight a puncher that is.

Way past prime Wlad sparked out prime Bootleg D cold x 2 with pillows and headgear on. It is what it is.
