    I think this all comes down to which Walcott turns up. I'll take him on points in a close fight. Thoughts?

    I would say it all comes down to which Mercer shows up and iIwould favor him by late round stoppage

    Jersey Joe should get it by decision.. But Mercer can put him under pressure and Joe needs to not get to lax.

    Walcott by clear but not completely dominant decision. 9 rounds to 6, something like that.

    Mercer was a very tough man if somewhat limited.I would have to choose Walcott by decision

    Walcott by a not so difficult decision...beet version of Walcott. The real Walcott was schizophrenic and who knows what you would have got. But best version only Walcott.

    Walcott on points .tough fight. Mercer at his best was a very dangerous fighter .I doubt Walcott would want a rematch.

    Usually Walcott would win. One of the cagiest fighters ever with good feet, counters, and a nasty hook at his best. He might give mercer a boxing lesson then get caught by sone bombs in a moment of carelessness and we have a war for the ages. Both men clash jabs like jousting knights in a constant battle for control of mid range. Walcott may have to get off the floor but he edges a close split decision more often than not. Ray's lack of defense and imagination could cost him the fight despite his strength and chin advantage.
