Tyson was 5 “ 11 and a half.the tallest opponents he fought at world level were Tony tucker and Lennox Lewis at 6” 5”.Tyson fought nobody in this time who was 6 or more inches taller than him.

Why criticize Pacquiao on a great win and avoid the question asked of you? What prime undefeated world champion did Floyd beat at 40 approaching 41?

Different style of fighter. Tyson was exciting and Floyd was boring. Floyd outboxed guys I don't think he necessarily fought them which preserved him. He was smart and practical. The mindset was different. I don't think Marquez was elite. He was good and Hall of Fame but not elite. Pacman was. Tyson career tomato cans? No.. They were the top guys in the 1980s.. Smith, Tucker, Thomas, and and old Holmes which fought a lot more for years. Guys who were not stopped Mike stopped. Floyd did not have the heart to fight anyone at any time. Mike is more memorable and will be remembered forever. Floyd will be remembered as a guy who was a good boxer who handpicked and constructed an undefeated record.

Mayweather has the better resume, better legacy but..

Mayweather didn't and will never have the fame, the love from boxing fans and Tyson had and still gets.

Tyson was on another level of fame and adoration, Mayweather isn't anywhere near that and never will be.

So it all depends what both wanted at the end of their careers, Mayweather seems and always has seemed to be in love with the money and I believe Tyson always wanted that love and adoration from boxing fans, that legendary status and he has it.

So maybe they both walked away from boxing with what they ultimately wanted, although Tyson will be loved and adored with or without money.

If Mayweather spends his money and ends up skint.. what will he have? A few nice little videos and pictures of him flashing money around on insta and twitter?

Mike Tyson gave us more excitement in any ONE of his late 1980s fights than Floyd Mayweather did in his ENTIRE CAREER.

I was a fan of Mike before Floyd's (or my) balls even dropped, but Mayweather is unquestionably the greater pound for pound boxer.

As for enduring legacy, I think Mayweather's impeccable skills and prime Tyson's invincibility mystique will both capture the imaginations of countless generations of boxing fans & historians to come. So, tie.

Mayweather no question. Undefeated and his resume is undoubtedly better. Had Tyson added the likes of Lewis, Holyfield, Tua, Morrison etc to his list, then it may have been different. When people talk about Mike, they only talk about 'Prime' Mike. but when they talk about Floyd, they talk his whole career, that alone shows who has a better legacy.

    Overall Mayweather of course but......
I can remember if someone made it out of the FIRST round with Tyson everyone watching would get excited.
Mike in his absoulte prime was way better then Mayweather.
Like I stated if you got out of the first round with Mike it was a big deal.
