Are you an orthodox or a southpaw?

I’m right handed but prefer to be a southpaw. Simply because it provides a stronger jab and more accurate punches since I’m right handed.

But also because since I have my weaker hand back, it also allows me to generate more power using technique.

This is why Bruce lee preferred to have his dominant hand forward. (Been reading a lot of his philosophy) haha.

Now I can box orthodox as well and can switch. Sometimes I like going orthodox and other times I like southpaw.

What do you prefer orthodox or southpaw? And why?

Obviously this depends on what the fighter is comfortable with and what works for him. Manny Pacquiao is a notable southpaw fighter and legend I can name off the top of my head.

Edit - Meant to put an Orthodox instead of unorthodox.

boxing almost 10 years..my coach used Ukrainian boxing techniques which include changing stance and all other kinds of movements... All these movements have their names and variations and combined with punches and pace changing it becomes real science. I actually rarely changed stance in a fight, only in sparring, probably because I was more relaxed in sparring. But if I find myself in southpaw I would box naturally. Had score 3-5, last fight was 4 years ago, now I have a job and a kid so its hard to train at all, but I will surely soon get back in, at least for sparring. Cheers
