Woke Culture won't allow the homophobic death sentence-loving senator from the Pillapeens to win (even though he deserves it), so the next most deserving guy is Andre Ward.

Mayweather only fought for half a decade and has asterisks next to his 3 biggest wins:
    • Canelo (drained at a catchweight and green; arguably lost to Trout)
    • Maidana (paid Maidana 1.5 million dollars to not wear his preferred gloves; shameful)
    • Pacquiao (rejected VADA testing, drug test penalties, and was caught using illegal IV fluids)
Mayweather ducked Pacquiao for 5 years, had ultra low T/E ratios in a number of fights consistent w/ doping, and rigged drug testing so that he can juice while his opponents were clean.

Canelo should also not win for the following reasons:
    • Should have losses to Trout, Lara, and GGG (2X)
    • Caught using PEDs
    • Loaded gloves and secret pills
    • Created his own weight division; catchweights and cripping rehydration clauses
I have an immense dislike for Andre Ward, but cleaning out the Super Six was impressive as hell. Yes, he ducked Bute, and conveniently retired when Beterbiev, Bivol, and Gvozdyk emerged on the scene. And he should have lost to Kovalev in the first fight and DQ'd in the second. But aside from Kovalev, Ward has been more dominant than Floyd and Canelo.

Andre Michael Ward should be Fighter of the Decade. :eusa_doh::roto2palm::vomiton:

The over-privileged Andre Ward does not deserve it.

Lomachenko, Pacquiao, Usyk, Inoue, and several others did much better than Ward.

    - Usyk never needed home advantage or dishonest judges and referees
    - Loma always won with his skill, not illegal tactics
    - Pacquiao defeated many much bigger men, fought all the best lightweights and welterweights, and had many more wins than Ward
    - Inoue is an exciting fighter, who won nearly all his fights by legit KO, not low-blow TKOs

Ward is the least likely of my choices.
Yes he won the super six but he had every advantage in that every fight he had was on home soil. Anyway how long ago was that??
Following that he fought FOUR TIMES in over FIVE Years against journeymen NOT top contenders.
The comes Kovalev. The first fight mot observers thought Kovalev won but did not get the decision. The second fight was a disgrace. Both Ward & Weekes the referee decided Kov's navel was level with his testes. Ward's low blows were DELIBERATE on a par with Golota the Foul Pole. Ref Weekes ignored them including the volley of low blows that made Weekes call the fight. But NOT to DQ Ward but to award him a TKO win
In my opinion Ward was one of the dirtiest fighters in the game & in no way deserves Fighter of the Decade. That man is Manny Pacquaio by a street

i agree ward fought his best opponent when he was arguably at his peak, canelo waited for his toughest challenge to look vulnerable before fighting him.

I agree with OP, I think people forget how scared everyone was of Kovalev before Ward stepped up specifically with the intention to fight him. Super six was a string of great opponents who he wasn't expected to beat let alone win the whole tournament. The only stain on his career is he clearly did not want to fight away from home. Andre Ward just wasn't polarizing enough to be popular. Any other country would build statues of Andre Ward.

This is a troll thread to the max. No way head-butting, ball punching, grappling Ward even comes close.
