Two tough Brits. Would love to see it.. Dennis Andries’ trilogy with Jeff Harding was epic. Very underrated rivalry EDIT: woops! Glen Johnson was from Jamaica. Must have confused him with Clinton Woods or somebody.
Johnson was no Jeff Harding. This fight would have been awful to watch. I'd pick Andries but I'd want that part of my life back !
Pre Steward I'd take Johnson, at that stage Andries was a crude unskilled brawler. Steward worked wonders with him improved his fundamentals and he became a fighter to be reckoned with. I think that version takes this.
Man, I'd go Johnson only because it has been so long I forgot what Andries fights looked like LOL! Andries, Warring, Robert Daniels man those were the pioneer days of CWs.
Johnson at middle was not that terrific. A tough physical fighter at lh is a very very difficult style for him. I like him a lot more against boxer types at lh. Andries lopsided decision.
Good old Dennis rough s him up, and gets a decision win. But would look bloody awful at times to watch.
To be fair, they look almost identical. https://www.google.com/search?q=gle...ECBEQBQ&biw=1366&bih=625#imgrc=MLUayp1Ti3I9XM: https://www.google.com/search?q=cli...ECBIQBA&biw=1366&bih=625#imgrc=O5oJxz4qfxNyZM: Glen actually looks like Evander Holyfield right down to the smile/smirk.
