Clueless is a big stretch. After the KD in the 3rd, Crawford stepped to Kavaliuskas the rest of the fight and stopped him. I will say, it took Crawford awhile to break the strong, determined Kava, but he did. Not clueless at all.
I'm not saying Crawford doesn't have a size advantage but if anyone can neutralize it then it's Lomachenko.
Not at all. If pint sized Gamboa, had some success against Crawford, Lomachenko who is two inches taller than Gamboa, with superior footwork, and also good handspeed and timing would definitely have a shot to beat that Crawford. As would the Broner that beat up DeMarco at 135. In hindsight, I can't keep giving that Crawford a sure bet, when both Lomachenko, and Broner were significantly more formidable than Gamboa at that weight.
I think Crawford have the bigger chance due to the advantage of the size. But he was actually more or less as big as Haney or Lopez at his 135 lbs days. Compare to his current size and muscles thickness, he was much smaller back then when he was facing Gamboa. So it would be a very tight fight rather than overwhelming victory for him.
Crawford is just a bigger human being. He might weigh in at 135 but be 147 on fight night. Loma will weigh in at 135 and be 132 on fight night. The dude is little and at his best fighting guys his own size. I dont think he's at his best even at 135.
Loma is a better SMARTER fighter than your hero Crawford. How many fights at 135 and even 140 did Crawford have a big fight night weight advantage?? How many has Loma had again??? Lol Exactly.
