Just heard that this fight has just been announced. What a great opportunity for Kal to get a massive name on his CV if he wins! In his day Chocolatito was a P4P fighter and this could really springboard Kals name! It won’t be easy for Kal but Gonzalez is well last his best now. It’s been added to the Mikey Garcia v Jessie Vargas fight at the end of February. Great show!!
Why is Garcia persisting with that division, he’s not big enough and there are plenty of great fights at 140 to have? I forgot Yafai was still fighting. Interesting fight that though and I think he gets beat imo.

Glad Yafai is finally in a big fight after becoming world champion over 3 years ago. They're clearly hoping that Gonzalez is totally shot now. Even though he's clearly past his best I have a feeling he'll still have enough to beat Yafai. I think the difference in experience at the top level might be a telling factor. Gonzalez may have declined physically, but he's so much more seasoned than Yafai at this level and I think he'll just know too much for Yafai. Good fight, I like it.

Nobody noticed Jay Harris v Cesar Martinez on this bill? There are actually some pretty decent fights here and I will be watching. Mikey is there for the money, big fights to made at Welter and I expect Josh to join them shortly.
The frustration is that instead of putting effort into getting an Estrada, Ancajas, Ioka or SSR he has been chasing the one that was brutally KO'd last time he fought a legit guy. It's still a very good fight and I think Roman has every chance of winning, but he had picked the older more shop worn undersized fighter.
No idea why Mikey is bothering with 147, used to love the guy but he's hopped two divisions he had a load of challenges in. Vargas isn't amazing at 147, so that could be an alright fight. Card looking pretty good I have to say now we've got the real fighter of the decade on the card in Roman
