Theres lots of footage of Duran training in his prime. Forget the heavybag. Get footage of his jump rope routine.
Regardless of whatever people think of Primo Carnera as a fighter good or bad, he certainly was a menacing specimen. Very big and strong dude and one who could move around better than you’d expect for a man that size.
There is footage of Duran's FULL training and all the exhibition matches he had in the UK (before the Barkley bout). I know because I watched it all on YouTube. It was called 'Roberto Duran UK tour 1988' , something like that. It's where the sparring with Benn comes from. Duran was insane shadow boxing. He looked like a dancer, bouncing and pirouetting, whilst still throwing hard shots. And the exhibitions were fun and awesome to watch, especially Duran's defensive skills on some British guy going too hard lol. However, I was looking for it again the other week, I think it may have been removed. I'll post a link if I find it again.
I found a bit of it (so now you'll believe me)! Only has the rope skipping, but includes the full spar in proper quality. This content is protected
