I'm cool with fighters who give their pick. I don't think Pac is, but I wouldn't cry foul if he won.

    Mosley:Canelo is FOTD
    https://www.*******.com/shane-mosley-canelo-fighter-decade-not-mayweather--145901
Why? "“He moved up in weight from 154 to 160, 168, 175, and he dominated. "
    Shane Mosley

ESPN split- Mayweather gets nod. Ward called it 4himself LOL! Tim Bradley got Manny P!
    https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/28321237/three-fighters-defined-decade-boxing

While Tyson didn't say he was FOTD, he did say Lomachenko is best fighter in the world in 2018.

You're quite deluded often, I wouldn't go around behaving like an objective end-all-and-be-all arbiter. In fact you're almost all opinions and barely veiled racism.

Who deserve the fotd? The cherrypicker who made multiple false retirement to duck prime and elite fighters? Who always fights on his backyard and always have the judges, ref to help when he is in trouble? Who avoided vada a drug cheat?

I think Manny had a much better claim to fighter of the decade from 2000-2010, when he was steam rolling top guys unexpectedly, and jumping up weight classes and trashing bigger, more established guys.

Since 2010, his KO % dropped completely off the map, his level of competition dipped quite a bit, he was knocked out cold by Marquez. He also fights much less frequently and was out of the ring for extended periods.

It's true Ward was out of the ring quite a bit too, but Ward was still beating elite guys when he did fight.

I think the only reason to even mention Manny in the conversation is because he did a fantastic job in reviving his career after Marquez left him facedown and not breathing...

Also, while i think Andre Ward is the rightful FOTD, consider this:

A lot of people are saying Canelo or Manny should have. I can certainly see the argument for Canelo, but consider that Floyd Mayweather beat BOTH of those guys within the last decade. Even more impressive when you consider Manny went on to win another title, and Canelo went on to win titles at 168 and 175. He also beat miguel Cotto this decade who went on to win the middleweight title, and he also opened the decade by completely dominating Shan Mosely, who was coming off a career performance of the ages against Margarito.

    But back to Pac:
His two signature wins of this decade both came in his last couple of fights against Broner and Thurman.

The bulk of Pacs best wins (De la Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Morales, Barerra) all came before 2010.

Also he seemed to have gotten the better of Marquez before 2010, with those fortunes reversing heavily after 2010

Floyd fought Canelo at a catchweight before Canelo fully developed as a fighter. The guy just competed at 175, which shows you how big this kid is.

Floyd fought an injured Pac and was caught using illegal IV fluids.

Pacquiao beat Bradley, a legit ATG, 3X (2 officially).

Name me another LIGHTWEIGHT that beats/shuts out Shane, Margarito, Algieri, Rios, Bradley, Vargas, Broner, Thurman, Matthysse. In fact, that lightweight would be a Top 5 ATG.

Except that Pac hasn't fought at lightweight since like 2007. Kind of a strawman argument for a FOTD thread

You sound like some boxing novice who just started watching boxing and doesn't know **** about the sport so let me educate you, you ignorant ****. PBF came off a "retirement" and fought a guy who Pac couldn't beat clearly in 4 fights and who put him in a coma, KO of the decade, as a tune up and shut him out, let that sink in.:deal: How do you like that for "cherry picking"? PBF "cherry picked" a guy that gave Pac hell and toyed with him, what does that say about Pac?:meparto::meparto::meparto:

Speaking of cherry picking your hero knows all about that to since he cherry picked Jeff Horn trying to pick up a easy win and nice payday but was beat the hell up and lost to a cherry pick a loss he still hasn't avenged I may add despite saying he would rematch Horn after losing to him. So much for a so called Fighter of the decade losing to a cherry pick and C fighter. #Jeffhornproblems:meparto::meparto::meparto:
Log off ****boi you don't want it with me.

Pac's basically a lightweight fighting at welterweight. Ray Beltran, Mikey Garcia, and Keith Thurman have all labeled Pac a lightweight. Linares, Bogere, and Campbell are all bigger/heavier than Pac on fight night. Tank was 146.6 against Gamboa — Pac is 148-150 on fight night.

Here's Pacquiao in the thick of training for Thurman. Dude looks tiny and skinny as hell.

Coming from you that's hilarious, I've seen your act in the lounge, the fact you bring up and co sign a guy with 4 loses a ko victim of the decade and the biggest fight of the decade loser and the cherry pick of the decade loser fighter of the decade when you have 3 much better finalist tells me everything I need to know about you.

The only people who like your post are pathetic excuse makers and haters like yourself who can't accept reality that Pac isn't a finalist for fighter of the decade and for good reason.:deal:

FOUR losses in the decade, a boat load of Bradley fights, and wins over Thurman, Clottey, and Mosley are not near enough for me.

While a fine decade and better than most, he is decisively, truly, behind a handful of the top candidates.
