Ward has pretty good judges in that first Kov fight. He was outlander all night and on the canvass and still walked away with the W. Sickening but that’s boxing. I think Kov beat Ward more convincingly than GGG best Canelo in their first fight. Not by much but Kov had Ward on the floor with a jab. The FOTD has a little China in that chin. Canelo wasn’t the only one getting questionable decisions.
AFAIA, unlike Devout Dre, the Ginger Toad never said NO to NEUTRAL judges, but then again it's not like he would ever need to.
With Canelo’s quick counters and left hook, I think he knocks out Ward at 175. Ward has a little glass in that chin and I think Canelo would find it eventually. Plus I don’t think Canelo would allow Ward to fight dirty. If Ward went low, Canelo would return the favor or put a shot behind his head. Ward would wrestle and try to head butt like he does but it wouldn’t work with Canelo. The Ginger Hulk would get his freckled arm raised at the end no matter what. Interesting fight. Maybe Ward can come back and make it happen.
I can't see a scenario even now in 2020 where Ward doesn't stop Canelo. He's better in literally every single way. Canelo is tailor made for Ward.
