That's all well and good but, you're forgetting that Roid Jones Junior was the first of the Meta humans, so pumped full of Super Serum that for me their will always be a dark cloud over his achievements.
What does being undefeated have to do with anything? But regardless, Froch and Kessler are pretty damn good scalps.
Very difficult to combine H2H and accomplishments in a single list as they don't always align. RJJ beats them all in his prime but had a short stint at 168. Ottke and Calzaghe were duckers of the highest order, content on handpicked opponents with little risk. Unfortunately, I think Calzaghe was capable of beating anyone they put in front of him, Ottke was clearly not. If JC had beaten Ottke, Darius Michalczewski and Froch I would definitely put him at the top. Eubank fought JC past his prime, why didn't JC give Froch the same opportunity whilst also proving himself in the annals of history? Ward clearly beat Froch but has tainted wins and a string of hometown preferential treatment and decisions. As usual, previous era fighters such as Eubank and Benn are pushed down the list because most people weren't watching boxing at that time. If Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore or Harry Greb were on this for example the rankings would start at 4. Eubank / Benn / Collins would have torn Ottke and a most on this list a new a@@hole. Off the top of my head: RJJ JC Eubank Benn Collins Ward Kessler Toney Froch Ottke
Stop asking the same dumb question over and over. Ward didn't need to beat an undefeated fighter to be classed as one of the greatest SMW's of all time. He didn't even have the opportunity to have beaten anyone undefeated. It wasn't his fault that guys like Froch and Kessler had already been beaten. It's just timing. Circumstances. There's nothing special about Collins' resume either.
What was he pumped full of though? There's never been a fighter like Roy, and his prime was 25 years ago.
1. Roy's win against Toney looks better on paper (James was drained), however he did beat an atg fighter easily 2. Of course he wasn't better than Roy 3. Peak Roy? Obviously not, but numbers do matter as well If numbers didn't matter then I would say Lennox Lewis should rank much higher than Joe Louis 1. Was Louis best win any better than Lewis wins? 2. Was Louis better than Lewis? 3. Would he beat Lennox?
So he was just a really good amateur? FFS, he went life and death woth Omar Sheika(or w/e tgat guy was). So many picking Jeff Lacy just shows how criminally underrated Calzaghe was, not how good Lacy was. Calzaghe was a HOF level talent, Lacy an average SMW.
