Couldn't resist the title. But seriously Otto Wallin put in a far better than expected performance against Fury last September and showed he is by no means the Swedish meatball that i quite unkindly called him. You would think he would want to capitalise on that performance and the publicity he got. But 4 months later nothing. He's 29 and if he wants to climb up the rankings he needs to get out there and fight. Probably just more bad promotion which seems endemic in boxing these days. Any idea if there's any rumours of a fight for him ?
If he retires now, he protects the illusion he is something other than a bum. Fighting anyone decent explodes that myth when he gets ko'd early and easily.
It is often the case with these guys who get a powder puff undefeated record, that when they lose their first fight they give up the sport.
He's about to announce a fight with Dustin Nichols for the TRUE heavyweight championship of the world.
Wallin in training under Joey Gamache at the Mendez Gym in New York City. Was expecting to fight in Feb, but as no announcement, that looks unlikely.
