Andy Walker was a very tough guy at that point though. His record was not reflective at all to the kind of fighter he might have been with Cleveland Williams opponents because Andy had been fighting decent guys from the start of his career. Walker was rewarded with a west coast tv fight against comeback Joe Louis after the draw with Layne which was another bruising fight, Louis decked him and stopped him late in round 10 which effectively finished Andy’s career. But if you examine walkers record up to Joe Louis he had drew or beat most of the guys he lost to fighting the same guys multiple times with different results. For example I think he fought frank Buford more than 6 times. Grant butcher 3 times. Bob Dunlap 3 times. And these guys were all tough. Seven draws. Half of the fights he lost by decision were split verdicts. Walker was never matched to win from the start.
No your saying it- most fought better fighters than Williams and scored KO's- Williams never proved it but build up Williams with who he KO'd in the ring - He looked good throwing them but results very poor in pro ring- FACT
I go off memory most of the time- I've seen these guys fight not some 12 year old reading boxrec so Williams had 34 fights and got KO'd for 10 minutes by a 5;10 178 lb guy - your a snot nose
The reason I insult you is because I have no patience for liars or trolls such as yourself who purposely distort facts to suit your agenda.
Wrong yet again. The associated press said he was out for less than a minute. "it took almost a full minute to revive the 20 year old Tampa heavyweight." It wasn't ten minutes as you claim. You've also been told numerous times that Williams took the fight on a 2 day notice and had no time to prepare. You conveniently and deciptively leave it out because it doesn't suit your agenda. And I don't believe you when you say you go off memory because 1. Nobody is this stupid (not even a Marciano fan) 2. All the details that you got wrong, literally every single one of them just happen to discredit Williams. You're just as dishonest as your fellow arse licker Choklab. I guess that's par for the course.
Not 10 minutes as reports confirm, so will you now stop saying this in every ****ing post! "The final punch was a left hook to the chin. After the fight it took almost a full minute to revive the 20 year old Tampa heavyweight." -Associated Press
You are losing very badly here ,you posted some glaring inaccuracies, got called on them ,and are now resorting to personal insults . I'd say you posted them in good faith, but if you repeat them we will know different.
The irony. You are unable to refute any of my points and as a result you're reduced to juvenile insults.
Knowing his partner in crime and insistence to posting these inaccuracies despite being corrected numerous times by yourself and I among numerous others tells me otherwise.
