Fury can't help himself. He'll start showboating and Wilder will knock him 'spark out'

the last fight i paid for was the Wilder-Fury first fight.

i will be paying for this one for sure.

i think Wilder is good for boxing but i think Fury will be vastly improved as he was so inactive leading up to the first fight and i think if he fights a little more smarter he'll win by decision or a late KO.

 

I hate to say this, but I can't see Fury doing what he did in the first fight in the rematch. I hope he does, but can't logically see it happen. Fury is sadly getting caught and put down for the full count this time.

 

I haven’t been confident about Fury since his two fights after Wilder. Not because of the performance, but because of the opponents. On top of that his trainer has left him, or he’s dumped his trainer. We know that Fury is a hard man to discipline, and none of the above fills me with confidence. I hope I’m wrong.

 

Fury was only like 60% for the first Wilder fight. He was nothing like the guy who beat Klitshko. This time he will be much fitter, stronger and less rusty. He should outbox and hurt Wilder even more and should be able to either get a comfortable undeniable UD victory or even a late stoppage or Wilder lands a lucky punch

 

My thoughts also. Wilder has a punchers chance.

 

I have to be honest and just say that I believe that Fury will lose this fight. He is far more talented with a vastly superior skill set and boxing IQ than most.

The question for me is whether the lack of staying in shape, the weight gain and loss, the poor showing against Wallin, switching trainers in the middle of preparation, the WWE distractions, etc are going to play a major role. I say that they will.

In addition to that is his tendency to keep his guard/arms low, showboating, and generally engaging in actions within the ring that he knows do not help him win the fight, even if they help winning over the fans. His being undisciplined has led to most of the knockdowns in his career, and obviously outside of the ring as well.

 

I hope that he does not lose. I’m a huge fan of the Gypsy boxers and love how their recent careers are in many ways an homage to Floyd Mayweather and will admit it publicly. Which I think is pretty cool to show that level of respect and influence. I think that in terms of acquiring boxing knowledge he has boatloads of it. If he puts it all to use and acts discplined, he would win easily IMO.

I just do not see him winning this fight because of everything other than skill and ability. I could obviously be wrong however.

 

This is a very big ask, in my opinion.

 

Hate to agree because Fury's whole persona and 'fight' style is trash, but this will be a 12rd snoozer filled with slap punching and clinching.

Hmmm, Fury is a true wildcard. Nothing would surprise me but I expect to see a new level of gypsy slickness from the big guy and a more disciplined performance. Fury will not slug it out despite what he’s been chirping. If he does, it will be a short night. Expect more movement and technical boxing from Fury, frustrating Wilder. Wilder will also be more disciplined and expect him be less wild. He’s still Wilder so he will be windmill punching at some point. Fury will also clown at some point but he knows how big this fight is for him.

This fight has me excited. Thats rare for a HW fight these days. This can only mean we are in for a disappointment. I hope not.

Fury only "showboated" when he was entirely out of Wilder's range to annoy him and draw shots from him, nothing more. It's a tactful ploy done by all GREAT boxers.

No doubt he will do it again against Wilder in the rematch. Wilder wont catch him again...Fury will dominate this idiot again.

Wilder is a fraud.

 

Both fighters will feel pretty confident after their first fight.

Fury should have won and he knows that.

Wilder knows he has the power for the KO.

Expect a similar fight again. But, Fury is one of the most unpredictable boxers I have known.

 

Yeah, this is my concern but he's always got up! I honestly feel like he'll get caught with a shot, while clowning. This is why, I feel he should look to take Wilder out not just try and outbox. Don't give Wilder 12 full rounds to land one shot!

 

....But disciplined enough to stay unbeaten in 30 fights.

If you know your boxing you will understand he has bought in Andy Lee and Sugar Hill to work on counter punching. He will execute his normal game plan but be looking to fully commit to Wilder's chin with the right when it becomes available. It was available in the first fight and he didn't take it but he will be a lot fitter and stronger than he was in the first fight, Fury was still fat and out of shape in the first fight. It seems they did listen to Freddie after all.

 

It is hard since he had that fight won had he not lost his concentration for a few seconds. I don't know what to think about the rematch. It is predictable in that Fury wins all the times he is not hurt.
