With a very high WBO ranking (only behind Usyk and Parker) and standing at 11th in the WBC,
Should we be expecting some better fights this year I'm over the 'he's only 22 so no need to rush' bs thats being said. He's a decent fighter and has great power and can learn more fighting more experienced people than low tier fighters at this point.

Seen that he is in talks with Joe Joyce which is a great step up, but would like to see him fight the likes of Chisora, Breazeale or Hughie Fury soon.

Share your thoughts, when is the best time for him to up the competition?

If Joyce doesn't squirm out of that (which he seems to be trying to make comments to justify doing) then that would be a very very credible win, Breazeale would probably be a backslide after that. Definitely ready to face a top ten opponent if the fight could be made

That is ridiculous and unjustified, even in this crap division.

Yeah I feel like Joyce could back out at some point, maybe Breazeale if Joyce backs out can be a good start

Completely agree, his resume is completely empty to be ranked 3rd. I think he's got the skills but top 3? That's why I'm expecting a huge push in competition at this point

IIRC wasn't Yarde ranked high with a bad resume in the WBO too?

Yep, having fought nobody that was legitimately top 40 at light heavy. And even so, Yarde's résumé heading into the Kovalev fight (actually, he was already WBO mandatory number one contender even heading into the Reeves fight) was probably better p4p than Dubois' is now. The run of Nemesapati, Sjekloca, Averlant, Sek and Sequeira is one dire heap of Euro- (and domestic Argentine-) level mediocrity, but probably still tops out the likes of ancient Kingpin, fraudulent Pillsbury dough-boy Gorman, and the (for some reason) briefly wildly overrated Cojanu. :nusenuse:

He will never get the chance against Wilder. That's for sure.

Don't see it happening, he'd fight for the WBO title first if anything, I'd be suprised if Wilder fights Hrgovic, Dubois or Ajagba while being the champion.

Well done bomb squad. Keep Dubois low in the wbc rankings. We can't have another bodybuilder
who's not from the states getting his grubby hands on that shiny green belt!

WBO and Frank Warren who promotes Yarde and Dubois have a realtionship that goes way back. If you look further down he also has Jack Catterall in at number 1 in the super lightweight division on the back of beating ohara davies.

Warren fighters always get crazy rulings from the WBO and not really sure why as theres surely more money to be made from the likes of Matchroom in the UK.

Warren got Billy Joe Saunders a world title at Super Middle by fighting Shefat Isufi. I believe Warren puts a lot of sanctioning money into the WBO and puts on fights for some of their random meaningless belts such as the WBO European belt which in the UK and Europe is treated like a knock off EBU European belt which is the true euro champ.

Dubois is a powerful puncher so Wilder will never be allowed to fight him. Might as well go the WBO route

Time for him to gradually step up competition. Fight the likes of Jennings, Chris Arreola and Bernabau Stiverne this year.
