Jason Quigley is a clown and a disgrace to boxing.

He's a legit sized Middleweight who even fought at Super Middleweight in the amateurs.

    Now look at his opponents.

Last night he stopped Fernando Marin, a natural Super Lightweight/Welterweight who was stopped twice at Welterweight before.

    Before that, he beat...

    - Abraham Cordero, a natural Super Lightweight who fought between 137 and 141 in his whole career.
    - Freddy Hernandez, a 40yo Super Welterweight...
    - Daniel Rosario Cruz, another Super Welterweight who only fought once above 154...against Quigley.
    - Glen Tapia, another Super Welterweight, who came off two KO losses prior Quigley.

You could go back to his earlier fights and check the opponents and you'll see that almost EVERY opponent Quigley has faced started at 140/147 in his career and barely fought above 154. They picking cherrys for him ALL THE WAY since he turned pro to protect this glass jawed bum.

Sorry for being TOO Harsh but this is just really, really bad. It's bad for our sports. And to make it even worse, this guy not even fighting at 160, he's coming in at 163 or 164 all the time in those "non-title" bouts. Only made 160 for the title bouts.

Jason Quigley is a weight bully and GBP is cherrypicking the opponents.

I don't know how he can look in the mirror every morning beating up those kind of opponents.

    JASON QUIGLEY = CLOWN

PS: Take it with a pinch of salt. I was just furious after i saw Quigley ko'd another smaller guy last night who never should have shared the ring with him in the first place. IT'S DISGUSTING!!!

This is why Quigley gets KOd every time he faces a decent opponent. Embarrassing.

They kept him away from me when I was at the rock. I wanted to help him with his inside game. I noticed he had none. A lot of disappointed quigley culters in here.

I hear you, OP, but I give him credit for at least getting back in the ring after a defeat. A lot of guys mope, but he went straight to work.

He didn't even look that good against Marín tbh... a fluky eyeball shot bailed him out from what seemed like a tough night in the making. :nusenuse:

We must have watched a different fight.

Quigley was landing whatever he wanted and Marin might have landed 5 punches in 3 rounds

First round and a half he did dominate, but then Marín started connecting late in the second and into round three, and Quigley's body language when he did wasn't great.

I'll have to look at this one myself. I'm hearing differing views.

The commentators (on the Facebook live feed, not sure about DAZN or wherever this aired in the UK, probably Sky Action) even mentioned that Quigley was mildly shook by some of Marín's shots.

Look, he clearly won both completed rounds and was on his way to clearly winning round three - and without the punch to Marín's eye, he may well have gone on to shut him out. He wasn't going to look spectacular throughout, however, IMO, and even in the under three rounds it did last he looked a bit uneven.

Credit to Andy Lee though, he is milking some improvement from Quigley. Just not sure how much even he can help.

Right on. I'm Irish and wanted Quigley to succeed but I gave up on him even before Johnson exposed him. As a person he seems like a decent dude but I can't get behind a coddled fighter. Macklin or Lee he is not. Those were recent Irish Middleweights who took no short cuts and lived up to the fighting Irish reputation.

I tuned out after the opening "fight" with Mihai Nistor.

Who in the living hell was that guy Nistor fought? And the announcers said the opponent was brought in to face other Golden Boy fighters previously? The opponent looked older and in worse shape than the freaking announcers.

Nistor beat Joshua and Hrgovic and Clemente Russo in the amateurs, and that's who they match him with as a pro?

In a televised fight streamed on every platform available?

I don't know why Golden Boy signs heavyweights. They have always seemed totally incapable of moving them properly.

Quigley is the classic example of a good amateur who can't make it as a pro. It's not that he's without skill it's just that he can't shake the amateur style and lacks the mental fortitude to cope when the going gets tough. He'll show flashes of that amateur brilliance but he can't maintain it. Much like Audley although I don't think any failed amateur turnover freezes up as badly as he does.
