That's because of poor opposition. Which punchers has he faced? Ortiz? Stiverne? Small and short plodders?
Their all better fighters than who wilders beat. You say whytes been down a few times....against parker, rivas and joshua. But look at that list....their dangerous guys. Then look at the list of guys that have wobbled wilder. Its a list of basically part time fighters. How come wilder doesn,t have a cv of fighting rivas, joshua and parker and yet whyte has. Thats right because the hardest puncher in history doesnt need to do it against anyone decent. Povetkins out there fighting good guys. Chisora. Whyte. Joshua. All of these guys are. If wilders the hardest puncher in history....lets get him in with guys that aren,t over the hill, slow or cant punch. Hes been a title holder for years....yet hes still fighting....guys that are suited to his style...you,ve got to wonder why. Put him in with any guy on that list....he,ll struggle with all of them.
Depends who is rating it. I don't think he's the hardest puncher ever but I think he can be in the discussion at least
Tbf to chisora hes living the life nowadays....packing on muscle. He also brings pressure at a better speed than ortiz and hes relentless at it and hitting harder than he ever has. He,ll give wilder problems. Hes better at closing the gap than ortiz is. Ortiz is a good fighter...he cant fight on the front foot tho. Exactly why he was picked by wilder....even then he outboxed him. Chisora will close that distance on wilder better and quicker than ortiz did...povetkin as well....who put his punches together better than ortiz going forward. Then we,ll see how powerful wilder is...when he has to worry about the opponent. Wilders a hard puncher....but its his tactics mostly that are getting the knockouts. Hardest puncher in historys a joke....hes bingo, ing hand picked opponents. The heavyweight divisions not great...its exciting but its filled with basically part time fighters. Wilders one of the best in the world. He may beat the guys i,ve listed. A lot of the good guys are too old. Wilders still basing his name of being the haddest puncher in history on bingo, ing hand picked suited to his style opponents...has been from the beginning.
Fury has no real firepower. Its basically wilder trying to hit him....while fury tries to outbox him.
I'd like to see Wilder in with Ruiz. Ruiz, for all his issues, has proven he's game and can take a shot. Wilder KOing the World Fast Food (WFF) champion would make a statement. And I think he would KO him.
I know but I'm talking in terms of styles. In terms of punchers, Ortiz is the only one he's really fought. A test he passed...though only just
I think it almost has to be overrated because he really hasn’t faced anyone. He hits hard for sure, but besides Stiverne who was in shape only for the first and walked through Wilder’s power(still got hurt) for 12, he was the sturdiest Wilder opponent. Fury has been KD’d by a cruiserweight that wasn’t even a puncher, and Ortiz is old and chin was never tested.
This is the mostly likely way the fight will play out. If Fury were to "go for it" and attempt to get Wilder out of there early, I'd be seriously impressed, and surprised.
