Yeah, that's pretty much the sum total of the "martial arts shakeup" that's happened due to MMA tournaments. Techniques like takedowns and clinches are much higher percentage than precise, accurate strikes against a resisting opponent, so if youre going to be really good at one thing its better to be really good at something high percentage. Is this always true in street fights though? Perhaps not as much as in sanctioned MMA fights.

almost all of these guys have a karate background goofy. They couldn't hit in the back of the head. they cannot due small joint manipulation. Also MUY Tai is just another style of karate in my opinion
