If you pick May to beat or even have a chance against SRL, you pretty much discredit yourself .. Amazes me how people like to put 10 plus pounds on May over his best weight and start matching him with SRR, SRL, and Hearns. .. I've seen it all here and it is laughable especially with a boxer who never faced another ATG in his prime … SRL beats the living sh*t out of him .. In fact, the only guy who would put him away sooner would be Hearns. That shoulder roll up against the ropes would last about 3 seconds against the much bigger, much stronger, MORE powerful, and lightening fast hands as was SRL … It's just a complete mismatch at 147

You accused me of reporting you.
    What point would that be?
90% of your posts make no sense and when someone addresses that, as I did regarding Leonard's character and personality, you ignore it.
You just spray random thoughts around as they come into your head.
Its as though you have Tourette's of the keyboard !lol

After beating Benitez he was probably entitled to fight who he liked for a first defense really. There would be any amount of reasons he didn't fight Hansen and regardless he sure wasn't obligated too. He may not have even been ranked.

It's the common old theme after a tough fight have an easy defense. There are thousands of occasions and any amount worse than this particular instance.

No doubt but it's a very memorable KO. Green was a reasonable challenger at worst.

Eh, calling it a mismatch either way is the real surefire way to discredit yourself.

LMAO .. " calling it a mismatch either way" …. what's next for May? Matching him with Monzon, Hagler, and RJJ at 160? ..If a JLC caliber boxer can impose his strength and CLEARLY land the bigger shots throughout the fight at a much lower weight, what the hell you think SRL is going to do to him at 147. If a 9-10 year past prime washed up DLH can trouble him with his jab and box him even thru 8, what the hell you think prime Hearn"s jab and right hand power will do to him at 147. SRR enough said. May first has to get through the greats LW's like Duran, B leonard, Williams, etc etc and McFarland, Pryor , Napoles at 140 etc, etc, etc at the lower weights before 147 .. Figure it out man ,, not too difficult here

By this logic Cotto, Del a Hoya and Canelo should've ruined him.

Floyd handpicked at the right time. Sort of like Hopkins when he fought Winky and Antonio. You think about it and study it and figure out who to fight when. It is brilliance in a way, yet later on people figure it out a little. It was not fighting everyone all the time.

Only if you believe these boxers are remotely in the same league as SRL, Hearns, and SRR

No, you're logic is that Mayweather struggled with one person (who he clearly beat in the rematch) at a lower weight, these are guys who were both better than JLC, and bigger. They didn't destroy Mayweather.

Your logic is very flawed, and I think all 3 of those guys stop Mayweather, but not because of that logic.

Did you read my posts? It is not flawed unless you think DLH was prime in 2007?? He was prime in 97 .. He was PAST it … You are missing that .. and He fought him even thru 8 … His jab and length gave May fits … Now we get to PRIME SRL and Hearns, the difference is monumental … These greats in PRIME at 147 have HUGE size, strength, height, reach and POWER advantages over May. which has always been my point … They are mismatches …. IMO … I am using the JLC fight because HE WAS IN PRIME and a smaller, LESS skilled boxer( compared to SRL and Hearns at 147) was able to impose his strength on May and CLEARLY land the bigger shots … That's how the fight went .. rewatch it … It's fine if we disagree .. but my logic definitely isn't flawed

That's a really good mention. Could outbox him like Hearns did, and also as the cast iron chin and stamina to take any punishment

I believe he was having issues making weight by then? He won handedly above 147.
