Wilder landed his bingo shot, Fury was out cold, but came round got up and battered Wilder for the rest of the round. Cant be good for Wilders confidence.

I'd say its 75-25 in favour of a fury win. Fury knows what to do, Wilder is hoping he can do what he can do. As long as Fury doesn't try and force a stoppage or try fooling around acting the clown he will make it look easy as he did last time minus the knockdowns. This is the best fighting the best, no doubt and credit to both of them for making the fight again. The very definition of clash of styles.

How did he make it look easy last time ? He scrapped a win in my book , everyone cry’s robbery it was no robbery there was many close **** rounds where fury and wilder did **** all, the end of the day the knockdowns were the reason fury didn’t win. But it was hardly some calzaghe/Lacy esque performance like so many seem to think it was minus the knockdowns.

I totally agree with your point but, as we unfortunately saw, it seems he draws!

Putting a man almost through the canvas should be worth more than a 10-8, whether the Lord himself resurrects the fallen one.

I've got Wilder in this one.

It's not based on logic but just a hunch. It feels like his story is beginning and leading up to the AJ fight, whereas Fury's is coming to an end. He's had his redemption this last year and that's that.

Wilder only caught up with him a couple of times last time round and on both occasions he put him down. Fury looked old in his last fight too. I reckon Wilder was trying too hard last time as Fury managed to wind him up but that won't work this time.

Just watched the fight, 2 things:
    1. Wilder looks heavy, I think he'll come in at a career high. I'll stand by my earlier view - this is going to be a shootout, I'll be really surprised to see it go into the second half.

    2. Wilder had a noticeable shake of the hand holding the mic. Wonder what's going on there.

Agree. Wilder made a big thing about putting on something like 40 lbs for the rematch. He felt the pace in there against the bigger man. He wont put on 40 lbs i reckon he,ll come in heavy tho. It,ll make it an easier nights work for fury.

Fury fought a different fight against wallin. Its not that hes slowing....just fought on the front foot more.

Be interested to see how wilder approaches it...fury put it on him after wilder stopped punching. Reckon it was a good tactic from ben. Wilder unloaded. Fury avoided it then transitioned onto the front foot. Wilder struggled to deal with it. Agree with the thread starter....logic says fury.

Wilder can punch...but wilder gets outboxed if he tries to conserve energy....he got fury cause he tired fury. Without tyring him...fury will deal with wilder. If he goes in aggresively which he actually did the first time....he just struggled to hit fury....he ends up more tired than fury. As long as furys fitter than the first fight...he,ll win it imo. With his size and length wilder is the one thst gives more away to get anywhere. Usually its wilders opponents that need to close the gap....walking in not knowing when hes gonna ping the right hand. Without needing to close the gap....wilder is the one that has to open up....all the while trying to keep his stamina. Fury tired the first fight after the three year lay off....thats where wilder got his success. Fury should be fitter this time.

the only reason I doubt fury is because he climbed the mountain, I wonder if he has the same desire to do it again. Right after the wilder fight he didn’t continue climbing, he was satisfied taking on nobodies. It feels a bit like he is forced to take this fight but doesn’t particularly want it.

But saying this he has shown he can find a way to win, he has that ability. He won the first fight in my eyes but it took a tremendous mental effort, he was coming from nothing and had something to prove, people to defy. He doesn’t have that this time so it will be interesting to see how adjusts to this mentally.

Wilder waited for Ortiz to tire and did nothing until he started to fade. On the other hand he has was aggressive early against Brezeale.

I think he will start throwing early in this fight after seeing that he can put Fury down without landing his best shots and seeing how easily Wallin hit him. When he says he doesn't fear Fury's power I believe him.

Nobody knows which Fury is going to show up.........

In the previous fight Fury was in the best shape of his life, this was Dusseldorf Fury, you aint getting up from hard knock downs if not in tip top shape......Buster Douglas got up similar to Fury with a little help from the Ref and stopped Tyson........Buster took a lesser shot from a average hitting Heavy in Holyfieled and stayed down because he did not bother to train

So all this "40%.50%" is total BS of his nut huggers.

Fury has never ever been hurt in a fight like Wilder hurt him......all the stars lined up for him to get up......will all the stars line up again if hit again with a similar shot ?

Both threw 5.254 punches are round......sticking your tongue out, flickering non contact punches, raising your arms and negative spoiling does not win rounds unless you are from Great Britain.....Wilder was trying to make a fight and the draw is fair.......unless you sit Ringside you got no business scoring a close fight. End of.

IMO, Wilder tried to hard, was too tense and got suckered into Furys fight in the first half...........once Fury decided to engage a little more he hit the canvas twice.......so it stands to reason that Wilder figured him out duri ng the fight......for a so called "terrible" Boxer he sure put the , according to forum gospel "slickest: heavy since Ali on the mat hard twice....something another Demi God to the Fury/Aj fans, glass chinned WK could not do......wait wait, was not WK a "skilled dream " Boxer.......yeah.

So IMO Fury brought his A game and got a draw.........IMO Wilder has room to improve and if he follows up what he did in the second half of the first fight he should win..

I have called Fury pillow fisted for years, it would be comical if he stops Wilder.

Wilder imorve on what exactly? He only knows how to do one thing, throw hard fast right hands he's just lucky to be around in a terribly weak HW era where that's enough (and most likeley will be again in the Fury rematch). He can't box in the slighest.

I’m edging towards Fury and I think Wilder is talking nonsense about him not feeling Fury’s power. He felt it in the 12th and went into survival mode because he was hurt. That’s why Fury believes he can knock him out. Freddie Roach was exasperated to the point of speaking out publicly against Ben because he too could see that he had Wilder hurt in that fight and needed to be more proactive. I think it’s a bit naive to suggest that 19 stone 6”8-6”9 bloke can’t knock a fighter spark out, especially one who is a few stone lighter. He’s not a big puncher, but at that weight class you still get starched if you get caught sweet. Ruiz is 19 stone and before the first AJ fight wasn’t renowned as a puncher but he turned a fight on its head with one shot.

Fury needs to make Wilder work at every at every opportunity, clinch him, lean his weight on him, work the body which is what I felt he was trying to put into practice with Wallin. You can’t play down Wilder’s qualities though. Imo he knocks most heavyweights out but if anyone has the IQ and style to beat him then it’s Fury (and Usyk).
