Even Arreola is getting hyped because of him being the best rising American, and Arreola isn't really up to much .
no it isn't. go and do some research into modern day english football and the influence black players have had and the respect and admiration they have gained. there are reasons khan, hamed and lewis have failed to win over everybody. glaringly obvious reasons that have nothing to do with the colour of their skin.
I don't like Haye because he has a big mouth. He claims he'll KO this guy & that guy & everyone but himself is a bum. I don't care if he's a Brit or not. Lewis was one of my favorite Heavys...........and he was Jamaican, Canadian & British.
Well...it's also not overboard to say it's more likely that Wald could land on Hay with one shot and put Dave to bed early either. So my point is the chances of Wald landing his big right before Haye is more realistic causing Hayes chances to diminish quite a bit.
Wtf? Frank Bruno? Nigel Benn? Joe 'The Black Hopkins' Calzaghe Amir Khan gets ridiculous amounts of tv viewers/fans at his events. Haye will pack out the O2 every time. Benn v Eubank had 42000 in attendance. You say Lewis 'wasn't loved' but he won BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 1999 (end of year popularity vote for stars across all sports) despite none of his fights being shown on terrestrial tv . How about you look up Lewis Hamilton, Monty Panesar, Linford Christie, Daley Thompson and numerous footballers? How stupid are you?
I dislike Haye because right from the off he was a smug arrogant sod. Even when Thompson beat him he wasn't humbled. I've got a grudging respect for him now because he has backed up his big mouth by cleaning up at CW (apart from Cunningham).
How was he not humbled? He went away, and clearly massively improved his training and professionalism, as is evident from his performances and results since that time. I find it better to judge people by their actions rather than what they say for the benefit of the cameras.
Because he is an arrogant *****... and that's just what the HW division need. Personnaly, I like David Haye... just as I like Jean Pascal, who is also an arrogant *****.
Haye wasn't ko-ed because of the compassionate stoppage by the ref. Thompson WOULD have knocked Haye out, and as for being 'purely to do with exhaustion' could be said for a great many KO finishes; this doesn't lessen THompson's achivement. k
Haye is acting out an arrogant persona because he knows how boxing fans are, they lap that **** up. You get about 60% hating you and 40% loving you, but it creates lots of attention, which would mean bigger money fights much sooner. If behaviour like that didnt immediately create its irrational badwagon nuthuggers and haters, then guys like Haye, Mayweather, Tarver etc. would not act like that. That is boxing. One thing for sure, with his fragile chin and swiss cheese defence, Haye is certainly taking a chance to set himself up for a massive fall from grace as he is at a big risk of a humiliating knockout in the heavies pretty early on.
People generally like Haye Brits are so paranoid about people having a personal thing against them its laughable.
He got in Klitschko's face because of one reason. He doesn't have the resume to make the fight happen and he knows his only hope was to create a scene in front of the media. He beat a war torn Mormeck and an overhyped Macarinelli and thinks that warrants a free pass at the heavyweight title. No matter how you slice it that's thin. Wafer thin in terms of boxing.
I like Haye and believe every boxing fan should too. He is exciting, has power in both hands and doesn't avoid fighters. he might talk crap sometimes but if he gets the fights by doing this then who cares. His heavyweight career is going to be exciting whatever happens :smoke
